Cheap material. Its the stuff that looks like it is recycled. Black is grey. If you wear xl order xxl.
Fits perfectly and nice!
I am: male, 5’10” (176cm) about 189 pounds (85.7 kg) with broad shoulder.
Cloth size: Normally I wear large but I got this XL and it’s puuurfect *meow*.
Awesome I like it
I ordered be tan one in this size XS. For reference I'm a 5'9" 150lb female and the jacket fits perfect, has just the right amount of looseness. The quality is great and the color looks perfect. I'll definitely buy more!
Perfect for my husband. All the advice in Q & A's really helped us choose the right size.
I saw that some folks had trouble packing it in its own pocket. To pack it: Unzip the pocket and put your hand inside, so you can see how large it is. Now turn the jacket over on its belly, and neatly and symmetrically fold it towards center, approximately the same size as the pocket. Hold one hand over the folded part and flip it over. Still securing it with one hand, turn the pocket inside out around what you have folded. It literally takes 20 seconds.
I was hesitant to order this item because I thought it would fit snug since I'm on the heavier side. But after receiving it i can't find myself not wearing it. I used it for my recent Colorado trip & it was the perfect lightweight coverup.
I needed a raincoat for our trip to see Temple play in the Independence Bowl. Forecast was calling for 60 degrees and rain in Shreveport, LA, so I wanted a light, red raincoat. This choice worked out perfectly. I am in between a XL and XXL. I bought an XL because the comments said it runs big. I had plenty of room with a long-sleeve and short sleeve t-shirt on underneath.
This is the fourth one of these jackets I have ordered. I have them in many different colors and wear them during the Spring and fall. Any other time I would give these a 5-star rating. The one I received today unfortunately I had to have today for a team picture so I had no choice but to wear it. Otherwise I would have returned it. Everything about the jacket was fine the color of the fabric everything was exactly as promised however the elastic drawstring does not stay put. It has a black round slider that you push up to where you wanted to stay and it supposed to hold the elastic this one does not. Every time I try and move it to the correct position it releases and the waist falls back down. Other than that I'm thrilled with the jacket
I wanted to be clear you can stuff this jacket into it's pocket, as someone answered that incorrectly.
Couldn't find many petite reviews so here's mine:
The XS fits great! I'm 5'1 100lbs. I like boxy fits (especially for jackets since I layer a lot) so I was worried thinking I should get a S but the XS is still very roomy! The jacket length is perfect- doesn't past the hip too much. The sleeve length is long but that's fine. It's not a hard fix to scrunch it up or fold it.
I got the lilac color and my sister got the teal color, and they were pretty close to the color in the display image. It looks like these colors are not available anymore, according to the current listings. I got my rain jacket over a year ago and it is still in great shape. This is a thin rain jacket - the fabric is a little transparent and it definitely is not a jacket you would wear for warmth - I will often pair it with a fleece underneath. This works well for keeping out rain and wind. The pockets and stowaway hood all work well. Pockets are not lined. Sleeves are long - see pictures - but I like them that way! You can tuck your hands in to stay dry.I bought it for trips to India and Bolivia in their rainy seasons and it held up admirably! If you are in soaking conditions for a long time (hours) then water can get through this jacket. Most rain jackets are not 100% waterproof because they also need breathability - this one is listed as water resistant, which is accurate. Good purchase and I would highly recommend this jacket!
I bought this to wear on a trip to Ireland. We haven't left yet but I have worn it around town on several rainy days. Of course as soon as I stepped outside it stopped raining so I can't speak to its ability to keep the rain out. I got the Miami blue color and I am really happy with it. It looks pretty with my skin and eyes and goes great with a pair of jeans. It is fairly true to size in my opinion. I am 5'9, 140 lbs and a size medium fit great. Not super fitted but still slimming while leaving enough room to wear a layer or two underneath. It's not very breathable which is great for keeping out moisture and keeping in heat which is perfect for a cool day but not so good to wear on a warm day. I think I would get kind of sweaty in it. If I could change soemthing about it I would get a liner or have another way of venting to get a little air flow. The fabric feels durable, is comfortable and the sound of the material isn't so plastic sounding as some rain jackets I have tried on. It has a nice high neck for keeping out rain and a hood that folds up comfortably in the collar.
I love love loveeeeee this rain jacket. I have been in Norway for a week in 50-60 degree rainy weather, and this rain jacket has managed to keep me dry, and reasonably warm, through it all. I even ran outside in a thunderstorm in this jacket, came inside, completely dry underneath. There's really no reason not to buy it.
great jacket - I got it today and i am very happy with it as it is light, has nice color to it, has 2 packets, hood, they have mesh near hood on inside side. Material is little like in umbrella, and you might get little hot in it if you wear it when it is hot. I am 165 lbs and 5'8 and size L fit perfect. Glad that I didnt get size XL as it would be too big.I recommend that jacket. Price is good too.
I'm 5'6" weight at 155lbs. I was headed to an alaskan cruise and needed something to keep me dry. I wear a size medium but after reading the reviews I decided to go up a size since I was layering! That was a good decision. I wore a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, and 2 sweaters underneath and then this jacket and the size up (large) fit comfortably. It was water proof for the most part but I was never in constant rainfall. The jacket kept the rain and sprinkling off but once it did seep through my jacket and got my outside sweater a little wet but I was still dry under all those layers. I give 4 stars because it let a little rain in and I got a very small tear on the sleeve after just 3 days from hiking. I still love it and would recommend it
Love it! I'm 5'9", pear shaped, 150lb, (US size 4/6 shirt, size 10/11 pants). I ordered a medium in black, and it fits perfectly. A small might have fit, too, but I chose a medium so I could layer underneath. The sleeve length is spot on for my height -- it actually covers my wrists!
Update: I wore it on an airboat ride in New Orleans on a warmer November day. It kept the wind out perfectly, was comfortable, and the Velcro on the wrists kept air out of the sleeves even with all the wind. I'll update my review again when I use it on a rainy day in Florida.
Update 2: I've now had this for more than a year and still love it. I've had to walk about a half mile in a Florida downpour, and it kept my hair and upper body totally dry. Great rain jacket! I just bought another one in a different color so I can keep one at work and one at home.
I love this jacket! I got it in the color Purple Lotus. I'm 5'3", 124 lbs. I have a 34" bust, 28.5" waist, and 36" hips. I got the medium and it fits well. In my pictures, I'm wearing the Columbia Benton Springs Fleece underneath. It still fits well. It's definitely not for warmth, but it will keep you dry. I may buy another in the color Lychee. Glad I got it.
I wore this on a trip to Banff National Park in Canada. I am 5'9" about 130lb and the medium was perfect. My only complaint is that the jacket does not breathe. It was not that cold out (about 60F), and i was sweating in this thing. I had to take it off because it was getting uncomfortable. Maybe if i were wearing a long sleeve under it, it would not be so bad.
I do not recommend this for when you are going to be exerting yourself, since you will sweat up a storm. Its like wearing a plastic bag.
Otherwise, cute coat.
I really wanted to like it but I just couldn't pull it off. if I can't pull it off looking nice in a city, I probably can't pull it off looking worse while backpacking.
but! the inside is fleece lined and very soft, the construction is beautiful, and the material is sleek and not too loud when rustled.
i am 5'4" 120lb and got a small and it was still too big!
I wnted It to cover my bottom and it did!!! This is an extra large! I am 5’4” weigh 180 lb and my bust is 41”. This is just so you guys know how it will fit! I love The color just as pictured!!! And it is so soft on the inside! Came with tags still on it also! Going to use it for Orlando so I have some customizing to do!
Edit: after talking my my husband we decided it was to big and to return it for a large!
I LOVE this jacket. It does exactly what you would expect out of a rain coat. I like the water proof pocket on the front to keep my phone in while walking to class. A lot of reviews have said that this is too big, but it fits perfect on me. This is not a women's cut jacket, it is definitely unisex, but thats what I wanted. So if you are looking for a jacket that complements the shape of a woman I would look somewhere else.
Brought these to a summer in Iceland where weather is still up in the air, it kept us warm and dry and was great to layer over our other jackets and they looked cool in photos
Love this jacket! I wear a pullover crewneck sweatshirt under it that I also bought from Amazon, and it's amazing! It seems to seal out the wind and cold, haven't been in rain yet though!
5’6 118 pounds. I ordered an XS for a cruise to Alaska. I would usually order a small-medium In clothes. This is made big. In the pictures, I was also wearing a carhartt hoodie underneath. It is definitely roomy! It packs up easily and is lightweight. It is not lined. It’s not waterPROOF, BUT I didn’t get wet at all in the rain. It didn’t pour down raining so I can’t speak for heavy rain, but sprinkling/moderate rain you will be okay. I love this rain hoodie!
I love the color and quality. It is a little long but i am a shorter person and the bottom does have a drawstring that makes up for it. I wore it this weekend in the rain hiking and it helped tremendously keeping me dry and warm.
The inside does leave lint on everything it touches but I think throwing it in the dryer will help.
Absolutely amazing jacket! It's so warm and blocks high winds. It is just a tiny bit big, but not too big that I wish I wouldve gotten a size smaller. Can't wait for it to rain!
I am a 5’7” 130 lb female. My regular T-shirt size is a medium so I thought I’d order a medium in this jacket as well. Would normally be uncomfortably big for me, but the pull tie on the bottom makes it much more wearable and I figure it’d be nice to wear another jacket underneath if it’s really cold out. However, I don’t feel I would’ve liked a smaller size because the arms would’ve been too short I think. (Arms fit perfectly for me in a medium). The material isn’t too crinkly for me, but I would like to mention this is for cold weather. It’s not a light windbreaker so it will definitely keep you warm.
I absolutely love this pullover! I received it the next day as ordered. I just ordered 2 more for my husband and daughter and I'll be ordering more in a different color. The fit is perfect and I wore mine all day and was very comfortable and it is great at keeping you dry in the rain!
I am 6'0" and 165 lb with 33 size waist and bought two Red colors in M and one Super Blue in L size to compare and chooe one. There is a bigger than expected size difference between the M and L sizes. I usually opt for the large in many jackets and tops I buy because I have very broad shoulders but lean body, but in this case the Large was bulky. It is very wide cut especially around the waist. It depends on how you want it to fit; Just as a rain jacket, the large is fine with room for a sweater or sweatshirt when it's cold I would choose the large for hiking. The Medium fit just right, looks good even for a casual wear with not much room for a bulky sweater but can wear a sweatshirt or long sleeve T-shirt under it for warmth. Mind you, all pictures were taken while wearing a t-shirt only. Also there is definitely a slight but noticeable cut difference BETWEEN THE TWO MEDIUM sizes I purchased caused probably by period of production and slight design changes that accompanied it. For starters the Rocket Red fit me more nicely with a slightly more room around the shoulders and wider overall cut and the mesh was softer and more fine. overall more comfortable to wear. The Mountain Red was a little snug around the shoulders and sides and the mesh is definitely coarser on my arms which is fine, but since I have broad shoulders I chose the Rocket Red. The Mountain Red had a solid polyester fabric right below the collar where the Columbia tag is for durability, but the Rocket Red was soft mesh all the way to the edge of the collar. Also the mesh interior is more fine and softer on the Rocket Red than the Mountain Red. Also the Blue one has fine soft mesh also and missing the collar solid polyester fabric. I would bet the Rocket Red is a discontinued product since it's not offered on Columbia.com as well as many of the colors offered here on Amazon. So I can assume the colors here that are not offered on Columbia's website are probably discontinued and will have a softer mesh and fit a little bit more loose or classic fit. I guess Columbia upgraded it to make it more durable around the neck area and fit more modern a little bit. I would also like to add about one other review that said quality defect in one pocket being sewn all the way to the hem but not the other pocket(Left pocket), IT IS NOT A QUALITY ISSUE, that pocket is where you pack the jacket. it has a two sided zipper, so you can turn the pocket inside out and pack the whole jacket inside, so it's intentionally sewn that way. All the three jackets I got where sewn like that. It will have a patch near the zipper pocket that says PACKABLE. Overall really nice quality jacket as to be expected from Columbia, and a steal on these prices, in stores it usually is twice.
Had this jacket for about a month now and all I can say is it's awesome! Perfect for rain and a pretty damn good wind breaker as well. I can't say it's completely waterproof because I haven't been in a monsoon rainstorm but it's kept me dry for every other rain storm. Also it packs up so if you don't need it right now but maybe later for like a camping trip or something you can pull it out and put it on.
Instructions: the left pocket has a label inside that says "packable" turn that guy inside out and stuff the rest of the jacket on in there.
About the size of a normal picture 6"x4" and the width of maybe 3-4" probably depends on how well you stuff it in there. Hope this helps!
I am very impressed with the quality of this jacket, it looks very elegant and I've gotten compliments on it already. Definitely will be buying more in the future!
Ordered the 3X, but it turned out too big for me; returned it and waiting on 2X.
However, I called Columbia Customer Service (great service btw), and they gave me the exact measures for the jacket, as the size charts on Amazon and on the Columbia website itself are generic. Here's the info they gave me, hopefully it'll help others (see picture).
Size - Chest - Waist - Sleeve Length - Center Back Length
XXL - 60.0" - 57.0" - 39.5" - 31.0"
1X Big - 57.0" - 55.0" - 37.0" - 30.0"
2X Big - 61.0" - 59.0" - 38.0" - 31.0"
3X Big - 65.0" - 63.0" - 38.75" - 31.0"
The (large) jacket fits perfectly. I am almost completely satisfied with the jacket. I say "almost" because this jacket was not exactly what I expected based on the online description. I was misled by one reviewer who stated that the jacket was "warm". There is no lining in this jacket as implied by the "warm" description. The online illustrations of this jacket (and all jackets and coats) should present the potential buyer with a view of the interior and not not just the exterior style. But I can still make use of this jacket. The 5-star rating refers only to the quality of the jacket.
The jacket zipper appears to be very poorly made. The first time I zipped up the zipper the teeth completely ripped off the jacket and became completely unraveled, something I've never experienced before in any piece of clothing, regardless of the price. The jacket might be worth $10 or so, but definitely not the $40 it costs.
Bought this for my husband for a trip to Seattle in October. Bought him an XL which is what he usually wears in shirts and it fit him great. He's a big guy, 6'2 and 250lbs, but it worked well as a light rain jacket and he liked it because it didn't make him too hot. He even wears it sometimes in the Florida rainy weather, depending on how hot it is outside it works great as a light top layer, especially if you don't want to carry around an umbrella. It really is a great lightweight jacket, great quality, would buy again.
For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better rain jacket. A very light weight and packable shell that actually keeps you dry. I had the chance to test it today while walking the dog. A light drizzle turn into a downpour and I was bone dry when I got home. The fine mesh liner does a great job of keeping the outer layer from making contact with your body, which really helps with ventilation. As far as fit, I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 197 pounds and a large fits me perfectly. This is a great piece of kit for the money and I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a quality, light weight shell.
Order one size below your normal fit size. I am 150lbs, 6'0", with a 38-40 chest, so normally a medium would be great - I ordered the small based on all the reviews here and it fits perfectly! I love this jacket because of the neutral gray color, the fact that it does not make you sweat profusely like normal rain jackets do, and literally whatever is covered up by this jacket WILL NOT GET WET. Columbia has nailed it with this rain jacket imho. If you want to stay dry and cool, buy it. If you want to sweat profusely and be rained on with your current jacket, well, that's just not smart.
First, this is a sharp color. It's sort of a camo green with a hint of gray. Exactly the color I wanted. Also the inside color is kind of subdued. Not obnoxious at all. I got a chance to test this jacket in a light rain. The water beaded off like it was glass. After 10 minutes I went inside to look for moisture on the inside of the jacket. None. If you have a wet sensation while wearing it, it is only the cold water next to your skin. It has a layer of mesh lining the inside. I would imagine they put it there so the waterproof part doesn't stick to your skin if you sweat at all. It has a waterproof guarantee too.
This was coaches windbreaker was (almost) what I wanted. Actually it's a little warmer than what I had expected or wanted in a 'light' windbreaker. I would have also liked a zipper, (as well as snaps), and a 'hoodie', too, but I guess you can't have everything for this price, (which was/is more than very reasonable). Can't hardly find these in brick-n-motor stores anymore at a reasonable price. Quality of workmanship and materials is very good and on par with what I expected. White lining is warm and 'cottony', but the sleeve linings seem to be of a slightly different material. (i.e., More smooth in texture). Don't know how the sleeves would be if I were to really sweat in this jacket; haven't done that yet. I'm a big guy, just over 5'10"/250lbs/50" chest, 46" waist), and this jacket fits me about right. I got the 2x size, which is just 'slightly' big, but that's the way I like as a general utility jacket. This allows the wearing of a sweater or sweatshirt under it, so that's fine with me, as that just makes it more versatile so it can be worn in even colder weather.
It looks like I received someone's already worn jacket. It had stains on the cuffs and dirt in the pockets. The sleeves had some white-colored stain on them, and the inside lining of the jacket had some obvious stains that show it was already worn. The manufacturers tags were also gone, and you'd expect to see those on a brand new jacket. Also, when we first opened the package, there was a reek of someones sweat all inside the package.
It is so cool, not too large not too small, just my size, i highly reccomend it.
I love this windbreaker, it looks great and feels good but speaking the truth, it won’t protect you from anything more than light rain. I believe this is perfect for summer hike on cloudy day... just in case.
This jacket is amazing, it fit perfectly out of the box and looked great on me as expected only downside is if it's a little tight on the wrist and leaves imprints but that may just be too keep the wind from traveling up the sleeves, I love this jacket!
Worst item I've bought online. First time washing it the stitching came off. VERY CHEAPLY MADE
It has a stitching around the mid section that reads "SHARE YOU HEART". I'm not an English major by any means but that makes no sense. I was able to remove the stitching on the front as you can see in the second photo but the back still remains attached in fear that it holds the jacket together. (As shown in the first photo)
My guess is that wherever it came from "share your love" was written in that languange and it's just a horrible translation.
The fit is amazing. I'm 5'11" 165lbs and the medium was perfect. The jacket itself looks nice, I just can't wrap my head around the oblivious spelling mistake in bold letters.
Hmmmm weird Chinese words on this jacket.???? My 11 year old really wanted it when he saw the original picture, can’t say it’s exactly like the picture though sooooo.... I will say I took a black sharpie and crossed out the words so they were not as noticeable. ???? (See picture 2) We bought the men’s small and he will be able to wear it in another year or so.???? He likes it, it’s light material and glad we only paid $18 bucks for it! It’s more black than blue that shows In the picture listed.
Really love this jacket! Its has 3 zipper pockets and also a open pocket inside the jacket. But did fit a little to bigger then expected. Got the large instead of a medium becuase I thought it would be too little but i was wrong lol!! It does okay in the rain but I would only use it in light rain. but other then that the jacket is great!
Well you get what you pay for. I just opened the package today to find that the words on the jacket were printed horribly. The white part of the jacket has ink on it from where the floral design was printed. The three pictures attached are what I was talking about.
I liked it! (I WOULD DAY THAT it is just a little bigger than the usual jackets I wear (size M as well) but it is a small difference that it's ok for me. :) ( for example: the size "M" I bought I think is like a size "L")
This is a great fitting jacket but there was a grammatical error on the print. This is most likely due to the print being translated from Mandarin to English. This should've been caught by proofreading.
I purchased this jacket back in March for my son. Finally last week he decided he was going to wear it. After wearing it one time the jacket tour along the back seem. Now it's too late to return it. I would encourage you not to waste your money on such a poorly made item of clothing.
After 2 washes on GENTLE, it fell apart! Not worth the $$. I would have given 0 stars if I could have :(
The product ripped after first use. I used it yesterday during a 10mi cold rainy run. It was okay with keeping me dry during the first mile, but after that I was completly soaked. It did manage to keep me warm dispite being drenched in rain. I put it on today and noticed the tear.
Update - while wearing this near dusk I got a lot of cars slowing down to get a better look at me, Im assuming because I was wearing the hood with black pants. The color schemes with this jacket are not friendly to road running.
Inside is dirty/stained/used.
Pocket zippers are so weak. It broke when opened.
Held up well on a trip to Europe in spring. It rained all the time, we did end up getting umbrellas but the jacket certainly helped.
I'm 65", 145 lbs. I purchased a XL particularly to achieve a certain (oversized wear) look. I'm satisfied with the product. The material is a bit thin for my liking and I DO NOT suggest washing in the washer.
I love it so far! I usually wear a women's medium, so the small is exactly what I wanted: big enough to wear layers underneath but doesn't look too oversized. It seems to be pretty well made.
The hood has a weird flap on the top that mostly just flops down and obscures my vision, so I usually just tuck it underneath.
The hood and bottom hem have drawstrings which is convenient if it's too windy.
The pockets are large and have snap fastener closures.
Fits perfectly. At 6’0, 174 lbs I went with an XL. Didn’t disappoint. It has a grungy, futuristic design which I really like.
Get lots of comments on it!
Windbreaker came in ripped on the top right shoulder
It’s a nice sweater very comfortable and it definitely keeps wind out and keeps warm if you aren’t freezing already ???? but it’s great I love it and it looks amazing. A bit bigger than I thought it would be as a large but gives me room to grow into it let’s see how well it stands up after a wash though I’ll be back to update !
I love it, it's so fitted
Got this jacket for my fiancé and he really likes it. The first time he wore it, he got lots of compliments. He's 6'5, 210 lbs so I ordered the XL and it fit perfectly. Thinking about ordering the white for myself. I give the jacket 4 stars because the zipper gets stuck.
Looks ok but definitely has horrible quality. There were threads hanging loosely from the jacket when I got it. Especially in the pockets! Don't buy this. I WANT A REFUND!
I just ran the 2018 Boston marathon. I told myself during the race that I would come back and write a review about this windbreaker. It was 37 Ferg reds, pouring rain with 25 mph headwinds. I give major credit to this jacket to blocking the wind and keeping my core warm as possible. My layers underneath got soaking wet, but that was hard to avoid. Highly recommend! I’m 5’6 and 118 pounds. I ordered a medium bc I read in some of the reviews it runs small. I could have used the small, but it wasn’t too bad. ????
This is a true to size wind breaker, so if you want to wear a liner under it (not included) you should order 1-2 size up. It’s very comfortable and compact. Well made and not cheap material for the price.. many pockets enough for wallet or phone. Not noisy like other wind breaker jackets. I am very please with this jacket’s quality and comfortably used when i need it.
I bought this for my hike up Mt. Fuji to help with the uncertain weather conditions during my trek up the mountain, however, my trip won’t be for another month. In the mean time, I have used it for oridinary hikes around a subtropical island south of Japan, and it’s very breathable. Though hot, the loose fit was helpful and made it easier to layer under due to uncertain weather conditions on this island. Great fit, VERY LIGHT WEIGHT (which is a plus), and easy to pack for any trip planned or last minute.
EDIT: It’s been almost one month after my climb to the top of Mt. Fuji, and this windbreaker it was still very light and easy to layer under as I got closer to the summit. It protected me for the most part as the winds got stronger, however, with multiple layers and unforeseen weather conditions, it did not completely protect me from the heavy winds combined with fog/clouds as I reached the summit. I was freezing and I was not completely protected from the wind at that point until I began making my way back down and away from the harsh weather at the top of the mountain. Overall, I would say this is still a good lightweight windproof jacket for anyone who plans on hiking in moderate weather conditions. This will not protect you in severe conditions, as mentioned above. It’s easy to pack, and doesn’t take up much room when you’re on the go. I still recommend it and plan on using it for moderate conditions when hiking.
Fits well, XS, design functional. Color and material seem excellent and functional. I LOVE this jacket. the price was great. It rolls up into a little bag so I can throw it in my purse on the go. It dries quickly and is easy to roll up each time to fit back in the bag.
[[VIDEOID:ba1cc32d9a99fdf4b52583ed8400e16a]] I LOVE this windbreaker. I wear it all the time. I wore it to Peru. Perfect! Wore it in France. Perfect. It’s very light. Smashes well into any bags.
The material is very light. Deff not waterproof but does protects against some drizzle and misty weather. It’s still with me and I think I might get another one.
This jacket is very nice quality. I suggest if you dont want a snug fit that your order. Size up. I ordered an extra large and it fits just right like I can't even put a sweater under it and be comfortable I have to wear like a thin shirt although if it's nice the quality is great but if you want to be able to put something under it I suggest definite order size up
I bought this item before with different color. Inside, the printed brand name was "Cheerun",close enough to "Cheering" as the product description. But this time, It was a different design & thinner material. There was no velcro & pocket on the collar to tug in the hat when not in use. I don't know it was Amazon's mistake to get the wrong item to ship to me or the seller cheated with the cheaper item.
This jacket is very light and durable. I got it faster then expected . Just in time for a rain storm later on that evening ! The color is radiant , my photo does not do it justice but I know I enjoy seing visuals as I decide which brand to choose. I will defiantly be buying from this company again !
So despite my username I am a woman lol and I LOVE this jacket. I work on a golf course in south Florida and it is perfect for rainy/windy days. I totally recommend this to anyone. Don’t waste your time looking at other jackets.
Oh the black isn’t shimmery like it shows in the pictures, it’s just black which I love
I like how lightweight it is but the holes for the hood loops have rusted after just a few wears staining the jacket. A bit of a bummer.
I was looking for a nice rain jacket and came across this one. I decided to order it due to the great price and nice color options. When I got the jacket in the mail, I was excited to wear it! It is quite hot this time of year and this jacket is very lightweight, so it’s absolutely perfect!! It fit just as I expected which is nice because this is something I worry about when ordering clothing online. The only thing that stuck out to me was that the zipper appears to be on inside out compared to how they are on American clothing. This isn’t a problem, as it still zips and unzips the same, just gives it a slightly different style. I would definitely recommend this jacket!
I ordered up a size, and this jacket fits perfect! I ordered multiple jackets at the same time because I was going on a hike and wanted to make sure I had one for the occasion and this was by far my favorite. the material breaths well and is very light weight.
The jacket came exactly as I expected it to! I went with my normal size and it fit perfectly. It's super light and thin but don't be fooled, do not wear it when it's warm out it keeps all the heat inside. I use it to throw it over a sweatshirt when it's rainy out and it works great! Highly recommend!
UPDATE: wore this on Halloween in a very heavy rain... kept me completely dry. I see people talking about how cheap and thin it is.... yes its cheap and thin but it actually works, that's probably what matters lol
I was really back & forth about ordering this bc the reviews were so mixed.. and esp for almost 30$ but I like it although I do think it’s overpriced. It runs on the small side... I’m 5’9 & 145, wear a Large so I ordered an XL and it fits like a Large so I wish I would have gotten an XXL, as i prefer a looser fit. I have seen people complain the sleeves were to short but as you can see they were long enough for me and I’m tall. Wore it this morning in the rain and it kept me dry, the cord around the hood is nice to have so you can pull it tight & tie it.
[[VIDEOID:2f939191afe0d4854fa6b90f45a0b91c]] This jacket is super thin but it does job i would say this jacket would be better for the summer rain ????
Nice color on this jacket. I bought it for my sister and she loved, fit perfectly. She tested this jacket last Friday it’s worked well she stayed dry.
This jacket came and was given to my daughter Easter morning for her trip to Seattle and the cuff on the sleeve had a defect. This is very disappointing.
Only wore this three times! Yesterday when I got in the car I heard and felt the back rip open!!
I'm 5'6", 140 lb and ordered a Medium. It fits just fine, though it's a wee bit shorter than I would have liked. Sleeve length is good, pockets are okay. Very lightweight and will pack up well, which is exactly what I wanted--something I can fold up small and tuck into a daybag. I think with a sweater under it, it will keep me nice and warm on cool, breezy, rainy days. The drawstrings at the waist are hilariously long--I think I can trim them, tie new knots, and slide the beads up.
This little jacket has made running to the store, work, wherever easier in the rain - even heavy rain! It is not as windproof as advertised, but with a long sleeve it's usually fine. I would suggest buying a size or two up if you want to wear a sweater or warmer jacket underneath.
Soaked up the rain, like wearing a cotton sweater.
First time ive seen a plastic based jacket getting wet that quick.
Looked more like when your using an old tent/canvas material, where water spreads on contact, rather than getting repelled.
Fit pretty big but still served its purpose. I'm the dude.
Great jacket :) and perfect for my eleven costume!
when i received this jacket, i tried it on and i instantly saw a rip.
This is my second jacket. First one the liner on right sleeve was twisted and couldn’t put arm thru. Ok things happen. One got thru. I got my replacement today and the liner of left sleeve is twisted. How. Just how can it be so hard to have someone check your standards
This is a trendy jacket and I'm not sure how long it will stay in style. It has a very singular "wet" look. For now though, I think it looks modern, and my wife likes me in it. So much so that given it's a little snug on me, she may try to "acquisition" it. I like this metro look better than another current trend - the bulky looking puffer coat. I guess both have their place though. The Southpole Men's Water Resistance Hooded Windbreaker does indeed repel water, and is warm enough for most weather conditions during the winters here in South Florida. It also folds up compactly for storage during travel.
I like the handy zippered side pockets, and the general construction seems like will last at least a few cold seasons. For the price I wouldn't expect more. I *would* expect the cut to be a little more generous though. It is tight in the shoulders and I find the sleeves are a little short. If I had gotten a Large, this may not have been an issue, but theoretically a Medium should fit me just fine. When in doubt, size up.
This is a light, packable, wind-breaker that has a hood, mesh interior, and a shiny outer shell.
To get straight to the point, it is very very light, extremely packable (can be bunched up to a small ball), and has 'extras' that make it worth the purchase.
Sizing: Fits true to size for a relaxed fit. At true to size, it is good for average-to-big people. So, if you like it slimmer, order one size down.
Material: Somewhat slick and smooth. Very comfortable and not grainy/scratchy.
Look: It's a little on the 'flashy' side, no pun intended. Throughout most of this wind breaker there are parts that reflect light to give a 'moving shine' that dances with the light. If you don't like 'flashy', then this may be a little too much for you.
Extra Touches: What makes this worth the price, and what distinguishes it among other ones I have tried are the added 'cinches' throughout the jacket. There are cinches at the waist, and cinches at the hood. So you can tailor this to fit you and keep the hood on your head should it get really windy.
General: inside material is mesh, which I prefer as it keeps the wind/material from directly coming in contact with your skin/shirt. The zipper is fine. Not sure what other reviewers say is bad about this, but it works like it should and the material is fitting for the type of jacket this is.
Well-made, well-priced, relaxed fit; good buy.
I received the large size and the black color. The windbreaker jacket fit as I expected. The zipper works well, and the cut allows activity and range of motion while wearing it. It has two outside zippered pockets and one inside pocket that does not have a closure. The outside is a slick fabric with a reflective pattern on it. The interior torso area has mesh fabric and a vented back slit to help prevent sweating. From label: Made in China. Shell: 100% polyester. Lining: 100% polyester. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, wash separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low, do not dry clean, do not iron.
Can’t wait for my husband to try it on.
I tried it on and I’m my opinion it fits as it should.
Nice inside hidden pocket as well as the two traditional pockets on the sides.
Mesh liner inside
Not very warm but I don’t think it’s supposed to be
I normally wear an XL or a L. The XL fits me but barely. I can zip it but it's very fitted when I do, so layering will not be an option. However, I ordered this for a trip to London in June, so I'm more interested in staying dry during the frequent rain showers than in layering over a sweater. The olive color is very nice. And the fabric is not overly plastic, it's ok. I tried folding it up and it fits in my purse, so that's a plus. It may be too casual for some places but it's great for sightseeing. I'm ordering another light trench that might be a bit more appropriate to go to the theater or a nice restaurant, etc.
I purchase the dark green, which is very close to black, however is not as boring as black. The jacket is very light and comfortable, I can wear it as every day jacket. The hood is the right size to cover the head. Like it.
This is the first raincoat I bought. To my surprise, its style is not like a raincoat, more like a small trench coat. while the effect of waterproof really good. I try it with water, completely impermeable. I think it not only can be worn when it rains, but also wear it in daily life..
It is super light and the color is great！I definitely recommend this rain jacket. I bought this for traveling. It takes up so little room in the bag and weighs so little like nothing. And it is very warm too！so useful for all the time.
I choose a medium size than daily wear and purchase the dark green, the size is fit and the color is great. Why I bought the dark green, that is my husband has the same color jacket. The rain jacket is suitable for my traveling, easy to quick-drying when it is light rain or snow and wind, also It is warm and long enough to shield you from the wind and cold weather. I like it very much!
A great rain jacket, so fashionable. The material is very good and soft.
It is very suitable for me doing outdoor sport, I lived in northern Utah with too much snow. It keeps warm in the cold winter. I do not need to worry about snow anymore.
Nice design, the drawstring at the waist could adjust the curve of your waist style whatever you want.
When my friends saw this jacket on me, they also want to buy the same jackets.
The breathable mesh keeps dry inside the jacket, one of the best features I like.
I am 5'6'', 132 lbs. The size S is perfect for me.
In a word, if you like outdoor sport and wanna dress up in fashion, go for it.
The coat quality is really good, the utility is still very thin, the style is very simple but very good-looking, I like it so much! the price is also very friendly,Wearing this coat in the rainy days is a good choice!Super fit me and pretty on me!
Love this cute yellow clothe very much！！！！！！I was so afraid of a chromatism before i received it, But it wasn't a question anymore, the color is the same with the pictures show on the screen. Love it so much！！！！
I was so excited about this jacket but unfortunately I had to return it. It is lined with very itchy mesh, the design with the draw string waist band was a little funky, and the one I received was defective. It was missing a snap for one of the sleeves and the bead on one of the drawstrings. The fit was okay, perhaps a bit large (I’m 5’3”), but the color was not at all close to the one online.
I was impressed by the green color and slim style when I browsed rain jackets. The M size fits me perfectly, and I was suprised with the high quality for this price compared with my other famous outdoor brand rain jacket. I can wear it for traveling or hiking and shopping. I will definitely recommend to my friends.
I am 5'4. 130 lbs. 34c chest. I got a small and it fits perfect. I'd say it's slightly long in the arms but I'd prefer that than being too short in the arms. The string at the waist is a nice option to add some shape to it. It comes with a small bag that it easily fits into. Fairly lightweight yet still keeps in a little warmth. Works well to keep dry unless in a downpour for a long period of time.
