I I’ve had this doll since I was born in 1997....and yes, it may look absolutely awful and to some, but it’s a comfort object! and it has been very well loved and withstood (and is still standing - I AINT getting rid of it) the test of time (hey, 21 years is pretty good if you ask me). I decided to buy another just in case at some point they stop being made. They are so soft! there is a review on here saying they are over stuffed and I don’t get that because mine came in just fine! the picture is not misleading at all, in my opinion. I’m 100% happy with it!
I bought two of these for my daughters- it’s the closest I have found to a replica of *my* beloved childhood doll. The picture is very misleading. The facial features on them are not centered, which ends up changing the effect/emotion of their face. They are also pretty underfilled in the arms and legs, and almost over filled in the head.
Don’t judge, dolly is 29 years old and has traveled the world with me! She’s been through a lot, but she’s one strong doll! Lol
Not only I received it in a ripped up box but one of the leg is broken and on the chest part of the doll looks like it's been burnt.. ???????? I will never give my daughter something like this.
This Barbie seemed like a steal at $5 add on item but she's almost completely plastic including her hair, clothes & shoes. Only her tutu can be changed. My 7 yr old wasn't too happy. It's a good idea for a younger girl who looses stuff but if your girl likes to change out clothes or do their hair I'd pass.
I found this doll for less than ten dollars and as I was looking for a doll for my little sister's birthday cake, it was perfect. The painted on bodice made decorating easier as did the tightly styled hair. The plastic legs were easy to wash before and after putting it in the cake.
This doll is beautiful. It was a gift for a 4-year-old's fifth birthday. It looks just like the picture! The tutu comes off easily, and the doll comes with a tiara and a necklace. She has beautiful designs painted on her tights. However, they are very small and not very noticeable. She is in perfect condition, and there is nothing wrong with the doll. Her hair is in a little ponytail and has ballet shoes painted on. The doll has blue eyes and the arms and legs can be moved to adjust to different positions. So you can make the doll wave her arms this way and that, and she can lift one leg up, or do the splits. This doll is perfect and beautiful and arrives fast and in perfect condition. If you like the doll, there's no reason not to buy it. She's pretty and perfect.
Beautiful barbie. My 3 year old loves her. We got it for the top of her birthday cake. The package she was delivered in was SMASHED and left at my door. Thank goodness the doll wasnt ruined (her package inside the box was also smashed).
Worked perfectly for a Barbie Birthday cake!
Product box damaged
Disappointed - box was crushed when I opened it ... Ordered it for a bday gift but had to resort To something else ....
My daughter absolutely loves this toy! She has played with it everyday since it arrived. The best part is I got it completely free using an app called verydice. Roll dice, earn tickets and redeem for free stuff from amazon free shipping also. Please use my code 973787 to get started. Must have a Facebook account to sign up. Have a nice day :)
My girls love it
Even I joined in on the excitement! Individual balls are all wrapped. 3 of the balls had a sandy clay that the kids smoosh and look for the item hidden inside (do not drop these on water). I made the mistake of thinking they were more fizz items that you drop in the water and my 7 yr. old told me after the fact that they were not supposed to be dropped in the water. Needless to say that brought on a whole bunch of screams and laughter. This item comes with a pet which was pretty cool. The heart itself is pretty big. It has 3 outfits. The pet has 1 outfit. Definitely recommend. Your kids will have a great time!!!
Got this for my 7-year-old for V-Day. It is so cute!!!! It is so fun to watch the fizzy in the water and so many little surprise balls are full of sand (3, if I remember correctly) and the sand matches the color of the fizz bomb. Such cute outfits and such a cute big sister and pet to add to our collection. Can't wait to get the orange one to add to our collection. (I think the bikini outfit is backwards in our picture.)
I’m so happy with this order it came quick and just on time for Valentine to surprise my daughter. She was one happy girl everything is excellent.
My 5yr old daughter and I loved this!! In my opinion it’s one of the best big surprise products MGA has released. I highly recommend this to any parent with a LOL obsessed child like mine. Well worth the money.
My daughter owns them all now! This one is our favorite by far, captain bb and captain kitty are adorable, perfect for any lol surprise fan or collector
I contacted the company, MGA, the day after receiving this. They instructed me to fill out a claim form on their website. I did, and my daughter received the dog she was missing two days ago (not just the body but the head too, so guess we are throwing away the head she got in the Bubbly Surprise lol)
Very satisfied with how the company resolved the issue.
Original review: Missing the body for the dog. Otherwise would've been perfect. Going to contact the manufacturer and Amazon. Worse comes to worse I'll buy another and return this one. Just can't return it first cause my daughter still wants the other parts and won't let me send it all back without her having another first. We have bought 5+ of this big surprise types and this is the first that's missed a piece.
This is not the big lol box. It’s is very small. It’s written that’s it’s the big one but it is definitely not. I would not purchase this item again. The description says it’s the big lol and it’s the very small one. Very unhappy
The handle is not there!!!
I’m wondering, when you pack it in the box- didn’t you notice that?
I am very impressed by this doll. She is very well made and the poses you can do are endless. I have to agree with the previous commenter about the cons and the pros.
She can wear standard barbie clothing and wears both heels and flats since her feet and ankles are articulated. Just know that if you want to put on a really short skirt you can see the seams towards her upper thigh where her legs twist inward and outward.
The one thing that I am not too happy about are the elbows and arms...the sealing at the joints seem a bit rushed, but if you put on a long sleeved shirt, you can't even see it. I think the more these dolls are produced, the quality will become better. But the doll does feel durable for both a child and an adult collector who likes to frequently pose the doll for play or photos.
I highly recommend this doll.
I love all of the Made To Move dolls! I have all of the "yoga top" girls, and I love this one's face very much. She has a sweet, eager expression and of course, the Made to Move articulation is the best! Mattel outdid themselves with the posing of these dolls. I cannot get enough of them! Her outfit is even cute, and the leggings can be used for so many outfits! The only thing is that her ankle joints are a bit floppy, so sometimes she has trouble standing. This is true of all the Made To Move dolls.
It is a very nice doll, her body is great and very poseable. But i wish if only Mattel were making more effort to make these dolls better. I am comparing her to my old 2009 Raquelle Fashionista, you can see how her make up has so many small and nice detaling and her hair is much better and puffier than Made to move doll has.
Her skin has strange yellowish colour, like she likes to sunbathe alot. And i dont like her joined ankles, the are very flimzy, and not very good with heel shoes.
Also i wish there were more dolls with made to move bodies with different skin and hair, but 90% of them are lookalike sweet blondes with no personality =/.
To sum up - she worth the money but i feel like she could be much better if only Mattel take care a little more about the product and happy customers than about the profit.
I got a blue top this time to head-swap with Barbie Paleontologist. I really loved the pretty dimples of Blue Top Barbie. I hope to get another one soon. This one could even stand in flat shoes. Her ankles were just right. Some of the other Barbie Made to Move dolls had tricky little ankles with a mind all their own.
Also the peg inside their heads are slightly different, so the neck on one doll looks shorter now.
I just got Barbie Made to Move today. I read many reviews about Barbie Made to Move vs. Style Barbie. I just had to try her out. Most people who have the 2 dolls say Made to Move Barbie is a much better poser. This is very true.
I liked the rooted lashes and 2-toned hair on Style Barbie the best, so I can't say Style Barbie is a loser. Style also has the bending ankle and can wear both flats and heels. Made to move Barbie has choppy hair. I like it just the same, because my real hair is not all the same length. I thought it looked nice.
Made to Move Barbie can bend her knees all the way back and sit down on her knees. She can bend at the breast/ rib cage, but not at the waist. Style Barbie cannot do any of this.
Style Barbie can only bend her knees to sit down in a chair.
Made to Move Barbie can spread her legs out like in yoga or exercise class. Style Barbie can spread her legs very little in comparison.
Made to Move Barbie has much sturdier looking joints except in the ankles, they are almost the same. One thing I did notice was one of her ankles turns inward like she needs her electrolytes. I thought it was the shoes but I traded their shoes around and noticed the shoes were okay. I still like the natural looking poses for this doll. She is a much better choice for those who love doll dioramas and modelling clothes.
As soon as I got her out, I noticed one small dot on her foot and face both barely noticeable. To me personally, this is not a problem, but I thought I should mention it. The price was well worth it for this doll. The clothes are nice enough and stretchy so I can go ahead and pose her. I had a couple of pairs of Barbie shoes to try on her. She came barefooted. I was thrilled to find that her jointed ankle makes it possible for her to wear high heels and flat shoes made for Barbie. I have both branded and unbranded Barbie shoes that fit her. I was almost about to sell some of the shoes when I got her, but she is a keeper and loves shoes. The usual Barbie seams are kind of rough in places but that is okay, considering what I paid for her ($11.04). I consider this to be a really great buy.
Made to Move Teresa (blue top) can be posed almost like a real person. So it’s great for people who use her for photography, or in place of an artist wooden mannequin for drawing.
Her face and thick eyebrows seem to be modeled after 1980’s actress and model Brooke Shields. If you’re buying her for a child, the downside is the delicate and sparse hair plugs that will easily be yanked with any vigorous brushing like children tend to do.
The flash lightens up her skin tone in photos. In reality she has a very tanned orangey skin color. The deep orange tint is strange like a bad fake tan, but I got used to it.
I like the 2015 version of her face more than the 2019 version: she had softer eyes, two defined dimples, a more realistic natural-looking mouth, and less of an orange skin. If you want the 2015 version you can get one used on ebay.
Overall it’s a good doll for collectors, photographers, and artists.
This doll is amazing. According to my daughter, she is perfect for doing yoga, gymnastics, you name it. She can do the splits, although it is pretty hard for her to do the middle splits. Her elbow joints bend really well, as shown in the photos. Even though her clothing looks a little cheaply made and she can’t wear all Barbie shoes, she still deserves 5 stars. When my daughter opened the package, the doll’s hair was a little messy, but that’s okay, since it is easy to brush. Her hair is long enough for a bun, too. She can also do the lotus pose. Her toes can point. Her waist also bends. She can also stand on her hands. She can do many yoga poses, actually. My daughter said her makeup is done very well, too. She also has dimples. She is a favorite doll of my daughter. My daughter does acrobatics, so the doll is her “Acro Buddy”.
I was iffy about getting this doll. I haven't bought a barbie since I was a kid, and every time I'd see her in stores I'd get change my mind. Her packaging (to me) doesn't show her potential, and after being prompted by a friend I finally gave in and ordered her.
Boy, was I surprised. She arrived quickly and after getting her out of the box I moved to comb her hair. This is the only problem I've had with her since she's arrived: strands of her hair fell out as I was combing through it. A couple more loose strands came free when I was dressing her. It isn't a big problem so it's easy enough to get over, and honestly with how amazing she is I'll get over it.
I LOVE this doll. I was worried posing her would be hard but it's actually quiet easy. Her joints aren't stiff but aren't loose. I love the small details - the dimples on her cheeks, the happy smile on her face and the pretty shade her hair is. She's amazing. Perfect for a child or a collector like myself. I'd recommend buying her in a heartbeat!
To the left: the first version. To the right: latest version. I am really disappointed. At the very beginning I was very happy about the variety of skin tones. Now the made-to-move-dolls got almost the same skin color. Plus: The quality of the facial painting fades. Have a look... The doll to the right is not what I wanted. :-( I used to buy a lot. But picture and doll delivered are no longer of same outlook. Shame. I have stoped buying them now.
Her eyes are VERY wide compared to the images on the internet, on other customer image reviews, and on the box. I'm going to need to wait until my Walmart has restocked this item to see if I can get a more accurate one... Unfortunately, if I can't find a more accurate one there, I'm going to have to stick with this one.
I liked it at first but it ripped in the back of her shirt.
