This gun is the best starter on amazon for the price. Before i purchased this gun i had never even shot or held a paintball gun so i really didnt know what to expect. When i took it out of the box the first thing i noticed was it was actually very sturdy for the price. It came with some co2 and 30 paintballs i shot a fence from about 120 feet and there is a bit of drop but its easy to aim an inch up i was hitting man sized targets with ease and the pumping action is very smooth and easy. Great gun overall
Came in a good sturdy package. My husband loved it..
I thought the gun was great out of the box..the only thing is that I could only shoot about 20 to 25 paintball out of it before it started releasing gas when I cocked it so I hooked up an hpa tank.. Do this at your own risk I'm not really sure if it's safe I know my tank is regulated at 800 psi
Bought this identical pistol from another vendor on November 24, 2013. After very little use, the chamber for the CO2 cartridge began to fracture and eventually the cracks extended through to the outer surface of the pistol grip. Now the gun won't hold pressure. A waste of money because of a poor design.
Gun and mask are nice, but the CO2 tanks are 2 years old! I purchased two of these packages; One of the guns came with a CO2 tank dated 07/16 the other is dated 08/16. The hydro test certifications on this type of tank are no good after 5 years from the date of manufacture. These tanks were 40% into their useful lives when I received them. Sporting goods stores, hardware stores and paintball fields will not refill them after they are 5 years old.
Great shipping got it whiting couple days only thing I didn’t like the 7 RL 5RL show in the pictures are round tip the ones I got in the mailed their tip are round but with a curve not completely flat round
Was pleased opening them but shortly after the silver pistol broke following two shots. Contacted the seller to see about a replacement and awaiting their reply. My son was very excited to receive them unfortunately the quality of the gun I hope it’s only a one off defect in the seller comes through with the replacement.
Really disappointed. One of the guns was broken in half. To return you have to take everything back. Very cheaply made.
garbage. I wouldn't recommend to anyone who values their money or the feelings of the person you're giving the guns to as a gift.
My son used these guns the day we received them and they were in pieces after the first use. They wouldn't shoot further than 10 feet. I have emailed to get a refund several times for months and have gotten nowhere.
As a marksmanship instructor I picked up this Tippman to accompany another paintball gun (Tippmann 98) that I've owned for years, to be used during a Youth Run & Gun Kamp I run for teaching marksmanship fundamentals and safety.
Right out the box this device worked flawlessly and is quite impressive. By no means will this be a review in the technical aspect, but rather a review on how it fits my specific needs in a "non-paintball competition" environment.
Price: Compared to local big box stores in my area the price was reasonable and on point, I believe I actually saved a few dollars even with shipping vs. picking it up locally.
Durability: Although it's still new and hasn't been put thru it's paces, being the owner of a 17 year old Tippmann 98 my gut feelings told me this updated version would last just as long. So far it has not let me down:-) It's a pretty big hit with participants in our Youth Run & Gun camp because of its military aesthetical value. It's pretty user friendly and quite adaptable to the various users who grab it off the table to "test-out" on their marksmanship skills test.
Looks: As briefly mentioned earlier, it's a good looking paintball gun:-) The O.D. green version I purchased really stands out and even the young girls who enroll in our Kamp are quick to snatch it up:-) It's resemblance of an M4 carbine is quite impressive as are the accessories that come with it for tailoring it to fit numerous body types and shapes.
Operational: Although I did not run this thru my chrono (mainly because these guns are only being used to engage paper targets vs. shooting at other students) muzzle velocity appears to be on par with my older Tippman. The adjustable buttstock and forward rail grip are repositionable to give my students the most stable custom fit platform to assist them in mastering their marksmanship fundamentals. Cleaning it after use is an extremely easy process and the included sights are quite reliable for being a mid-range paintball gun.
Components: Unlike my older Tippman, there are a LOT more plastic parts on this newer Cronus version. With that said, thus far nothing has broken - mind you this gun is being handled by many students, accessories coming on and off, switched and changed with each user and bounced around thru the skills test portion of the course. Although plastic, these "aesthetical" accessories are holding up pretty good. No stress cracks or broken mounts as of yet. Although the hopper is all plastic and basically a large bubble that sits on top of the gun - surprisingly its holding up to the stress of so many different users:-)
My only ding (half a star) I wish it was a bit larger and heavier. BUT, for the application in which I'm using it - it really is perfect for little hands and it's weight is light enough that students are not fatigued by carrying it thru the marksmanship course/test.
I'm extremely impressed with this Tippmann - as I expected to be - and suspect it will give many years of faithful service as my original Tippmann 98. I'm already planning to purchase a few more to accommodate Kamp/participant growth.
Great gun. Added parts on it to make it look sick. Added a storage mag to hold allen keys and screw drivers. BiPod. APEX2 barrel to shoot around corners with quad rail shroud. Red dot sight. Never had a problem. I got tired of using the rental. Check the pic!
I love my Cronus! Built like a Tippmann A5 with just a little less power. Great deal, not to mention I ordered it with two-day shipping and it arrived like it was 1 day shipping. I also ordered a 20" barrel and threw on my extra M4 accessories and made a bad gun! Worth the buy!
Have been using this marker for 1 year now and have not had any problems really accurate and can upgrade in to pretty much anything your mind can think of I run this with my tipx which is also amazing, nothing better than tippmann
One reason I purchased this item was b/c of the price, big mistake. I plan to fly to Texas and check-in my guns at the airport to including th 11-Lbs of ammo I'm allowed. This case, in the pic, appeared to be large enough to accomplish this. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it met all my expectations... EXCEPT ONE: It only has one small latch to secure a very-very small, travel-size, lock on to it. Most hard gun cases I've purchased/seen have a at least two sturdy latches, big enough to use a regular size lock. See attached pic. 2-stars only b/c of the small latch. Otherwise it's a nice sturdy box. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR GUNS, at least not to travel with.
PROs: Sturdy, large enough for two regular size guns plus magazine and deep enough to carry some boxes of ammo in the bottom underneath.
BIG CONs: ONLY ONE SMALL THIN LATCH to secure it with. See attached pic.
ADDENDUM 04-AUG-17: I figured out how to make this case serviceable for travel. I drilled two hole in the handle wide enough to use small but sturdy locks. Travel to Texas was completed successfully.
This case is great for the price. I have had it a while now and done many range trips with it and I've never had it come open or have had any of the guns shift inside of it. It has dual layers of foam and I can pack 5 pistols plus mags and whatever else I want to take with me. You won't be disappointed with it.
Ok, let me give you the skinny about this pistol/equipment case. First, it will hold four full sized pistols with 4 magazines and a few boxes of ammo . I consider 1911A1's full size pistols. And four will fit. Second, it is not TSA approved for airline travel because it's locking ability does not meet their standard. Others may say it is, but it is not. Third, It is an excellent range pistol case or to carry sensitive electronic instruments. Forth, and most importantly, IT IS NOT CHILD PROOF. As, the case have two latches. There is a place on the right side of the carry handle of the case to put a lock. Any older child, teen, or one of their visiting friends has to do is to unlatch the two yellow latches, and pull up in the left side of the case; reach inside and get a firearm(see photo). I rated this product a four because it is an inexpensive range-electronic tool case. Well worth the money. As, the molding form allows users to form fit the inside for weapons or electronic equipment by pulling apart small square sections of the middle foam pad for a professional looking recess.
Amazing. Yes, it's slightly "flimsy," but I don't need a heavy, super thick, humidity-controlled case. I have my pelican cases for that purpose.
It's just the perfect size for me, with high-quality foam inside. For $20? Made in USA? HELL YES. It's absolutely perfect for my paintball gear; as I just need something to carry both of my paintball markers along with a barrel kit. It fits all that in a compact format.
I cannot be happier with this purchase.
This is definitely not waterproof, and it's not as secure as a Seahorse or Pelican case would be. The foam isn't as high quality either. That being said, it's also under $20. I don't plan to use this for air travel or anything like that- it's mainly for transporting several handguns to the range and back. For that, it works great.
As I mentioned before, the foam isn't the highest quality- it's extremely soft and will most likely wear and fray quickly if you use the pick-and-pluck option. I sprayed the back side of the center foam insert with [[ASIN:B00CB3BROC Loctite 200 High Performance Spray Adhesive 13.5-Ounces (1713065)]] after plucking the pieces and then sprayed all sides of it with [[ASIN:B008J20R1S Performix 11221 Plasti Dip Gun Metal Multi-Purpose Rubber Coating Aerosol - 11 oz.]] to make it a bit more rugged (you can find all sorts of videos about that on youtube). I think it's going to work out fine.
This is a great case for the money! I've bought 4 of them. Two I use for my quadcopter and radio setup. The other two I use professionally as custom cases for test instrumentation. These are fantastic cases for whatever for in them! Very thick foam padding, with a foam insert that you can customize to fit whatever you want. Don't hesitate, this is a great buy!!
I've always warned my kids, BCGC, buy cheap get cheap. I broke my own rule. Flimsy, super light duty and fragile are all things I expected from a cheap case. But the fact that the case does not have enough Constitution in the foam to keep the guns in place and not banging on each other is shocking. With unpulled foam plugs, the guns moved all over the case just walking around. With foam plugs pulled to tightly fit the guns, the guns would slide under the foam into each other. No matter which way I put the foam, the guns moved. Two gun on one layer, one on the other, they all moved. I canted see Walk ng to my car without damaging the guns, let alone drive somewhere.
Solid case once you get over the fact that it's not a pelican. It's a third cheaper then the comparable pelican and I use mine to store my folding knives. It exceeded my expectations.
Price is unbeatable for such a good product. I cut the foam to fit my new drone, controller, and accessories. Fit is great, latches and everything work as expected. Can't beat the price and it has a molded hole next to handle for lock, big plus!
This case is just what I was looking for. It is the perfect case for the 4 Full-Size Handguns that I take to the range. On the bottom level of the case is a 22LR Ruger Mark 1 & a EAA 38 Special with 3 magazines & 3 speed loaders for each weapon respectively. On the top level of the case is a 40 cal Baretta & a 45 cal Baretta. The case is hard shell and also lockable. I would highly recommend this case for anyone needing one.
I love this case. I'm currently only carry 2 pistols in it now, but I do however carry additional clips, ammo, and speedloaders under them. I definently buying another, and I'm recommending this to friends and family...
The case is very strong and resilient for being made of basic plastic. Handle feels great, and it's low profile, so storing it, is no problem anywhere...
Unlockable. This case offers one very small hole that fits very small locks, like travel locks. Sure, my large gun fit well enough, but can’t be secured with a small lock. You can pry the case open on the opposite side of the case. I traveled to multiple harware stores to find a secure lockdown for the case. The photos show how I solved the problem. This is a Masterlock, which allows you to set your own combination. But as you can see, the tight space around the handle make it difficult to work with the lock. I give it three stars because of all the time and inconvenience of finding a lock. Generally the case is sturdy and good looking.
The 1404 case is not as pictured!!! The picture shows a nice looking durable thin case. The case I received is 6 inches thick.!! Very disappointed as this was ordered in time and needed for a birthday gift. Well that's out the window now as I dont have the time to exchange it!
Awesome Samsung Gear VR case. I was looking for a case to store my Samsung Gear VR googles, Stratus Steelseries XL Controller and Mpow Bluetooth Headphones. This case easily holds all three very securely. I'm so impressed with this case I might order another for my pistols.
I use it to hold a Dx6i transmitter and a couple of Inductrix quads. A nice case that is well made and closes securely. Well worth the price.
Great case! Keeps my pistols safe, secure and damage free
great for my 4 pistols
A phenomenal and cheap alternative for customizable microphone storage.
Perfect fit fpr my fpv setup.
Very nice heavy duty case
Used this for my R/C transmitter, foam cut outs are great! fit perfect! Love it, saved me $ over brand name R/C transmitter cases!
Just received it today. Was excited to load it up with my pistols. Opened up the case....and it was empty. No foam inserts. Not even one. I now have a completely useless plastic box that I can't put anything in. Boooooooooooo!!!
For the money($20.00)it can't be beat IMO. If I could afford Pelican cases for each of my firearms or other valuables I would. This is a great alternative to the higher end cases. You could easily fit more than four handguns in there if you utilized both layers. As you see in the photo I opted to use the pick n pluck foam to store my Glock 17 TB. I give it four stars as this does not offer any REAL theft protection.
Very nice case for the money. I use this just for transportation to and from the range or whatever else I'm doing. Latches are secure despite being plastic. I'm not going to compare this to a Pelican or anything similar since that'd be the same as comparing a Camry to an S Class. This case has plenty of space for more than four guns. If you place everything correctly, you can fit quite a bit of stuff.
