Awesome gun! The trigger is super sensitive so you can shoot it pretty fast. Very accurate and long ranged on the field. If you are a beginner than I recommend that you get this gun. It is amazing for such a low price.
No on/off ass
No quick clamp feed neck
No millennium ramp
Get an electronic Hopper and shred paint. Four cases through mine in last three weeks without a single break. Original battery still in it. I would buy again.
This is my first marker and I have had it for over a month now. I have used it to play every weekend for several hours in a speedball and woodsball settings. I have learned a lot thanks to this marker, and regret not spending a bit more money and getting a different marker. I should have researched it better; and I am normally much better at it, but I dropped the ball here out of eagerness. Let this review be your guide and warning.
- Easy enough to clean and maintain.
- Never chopped a ball.
- Preset regulator.
- When I first got it I had major issues with barrel breaks and it just not wanting to shoot. I solved the shooting issue by tightening the barrel just a bit more. The barrel breaks were solved by 1) decreasing the settings of my Halo TOO down to 1/1/2 and 2) bore matching my paint with a Deadlywind Fibur-X + freak kit. Knowing what I know now I would have gotten a different hopper; Virtue Spire, Dye Rotor or R2, or the HK Army TFX would all have been good choices. These hoppers have better feed systems and are not dependent on sound to feed paint, meaning one less setting to worry about.
- It is loud AF. If you like to play back you will be fine. If you are aggressive people will know exactly where you are. You can get a different barrel, such as the Deadlywind Fibur-X with GOG insert kit, to help reduce your sound signature but it is still loud.
- There is no On/Off ASA, so you run the risk of damaging tank threads and blowing o-rings each time you take on and off your tank. You can buy and install an ASA yourself, but between a macro line kit and an on/off ASA you are looking at it costing $45 to $65.
- The screw feed neck is a pain if you play frequently and take apart your marker each time. I highly suggest getting a clamping feed neck. A high profile feed neck will cost you in the range of $15 to $20. A low profile one will cost you $30 to $40.
- The seal the handgrip covers provide to the board is terrible. I end up having to clean paint out of there every week. How paint gets in there I am not really sure.
- They failed to put any/much thread lock on a trigger screw. Shortly after making adjustments to my trigger the marker wasn't firing. If you make any trigger adjustments I highly suggest checking all the screws to ensure enough thread lock is present. The attached picture is the adjustment screw I had issues with.
That said, if you are looking at an inexpensive entry electro marker for some casual play, consider getting the Blitz EVO instead; I know I should have. It is marginally more expensive, but it comes with a clamping feed neck and an on/off ASA. Since I already own the marker and have been using it so long I just upgraded the marker by adding those two things. However, if you think you will really, really, really enjoy paintballing, could see yourself playing every weekend, and can afford to spend a bit more money, get a different marker. Personally, I plan on getting a different marker for next season and will use this as a backup/loaner or sell it.
For this being my first marker, ive been enjoying it and have had no problems with it! I recommend this
Every happy with my new paintball gun... Would be ordering again
The marker came right on time. Today was The first time I used it. The marker worked great. Amazing even. I'd give a few tips to people who are new. Clean and grease your marker. Clean the eyes. That way you don't chop paint. Not just once but every time after you play. Most of the problems I read in the feedback can all be fixed easily. This gun is not loud as some would say. Also I would recommend getting an electronic hopper. But this will definitely give you an edge over the renters and definitely let you stand with the higher end guns. I am really happy with it.
This marker is a great gun for starting off. It gives you so many option out on the field. Whether you buy a hopper with speed feed or just a regular gravity hopper. If you do get this gun never turn the eyes off or you will break paint. I've seen firing option on this gun that are on $300+ markers including ramping of 10.2-15 bps. Along with automatic at 10.2 . Out of the box it fires at 260-265 fps for me at least. The manual says semi auto 15 but it's actually ramping of 15 idk why.
As a marksmanship instructor I picked up this Tippman to accompany another paintball gun (Tippmann 98) that I've owned for years, to be used during a Youth Run & Gun Kamp I run for teaching marksmanship fundamentals and safety.
Right out the box this device worked flawlessly and is quite impressive. By no means will this be a review in the technical aspect, but rather a review on how it fits my specific needs in a "non-paintball competition" environment.
Price: Compared to local big box stores in my area the price was reasonable and on point, I believe I actually saved a few dollars even with shipping vs. picking it up locally.
Durability: Although it's still new and hasn't been put thru it's paces, being the owner of a 17 year old Tippmann 98 my gut feelings told me this updated version would last just as long. So far it has not let me down:-) It's a pretty big hit with participants in our Youth Run & Gun camp because of its military aesthetical value. It's pretty user friendly and quite adaptable to the various users who grab it off the table to "test-out" on their marksmanship skills test.
Looks: As briefly mentioned earlier, it's a good looking paintball gun:-) The O.D. green version I purchased really stands out and even the young girls who enroll in our Kamp are quick to snatch it up:-) It's resemblance of an M4 carbine is quite impressive as are the accessories that come with it for tailoring it to fit numerous body types and shapes.
Operational: Although I did not run this thru my chrono (mainly because these guns are only being used to engage paper targets vs. shooting at other students) muzzle velocity appears to be on par with my older Tippman. The adjustable buttstock and forward rail grip are repositionable to give my students the most stable custom fit platform to assist them in mastering their marksmanship fundamentals. Cleaning it after use is an extremely easy process and the included sights are quite reliable for being a mid-range paintball gun.
Components: Unlike my older Tippman, there are a LOT more plastic parts on this newer Cronus version. With that said, thus far nothing has broken - mind you this gun is being handled by many students, accessories coming on and off, switched and changed with each user and bounced around thru the skills test portion of the course. Although plastic, these "aesthetical" accessories are holding up pretty good. No stress cracks or broken mounts as of yet. Although the hopper is all plastic and basically a large bubble that sits on top of the gun - surprisingly its holding up to the stress of so many different users:-)
My only ding (half a star) I wish it was a bit larger and heavier. BUT, for the application in which I'm using it - it really is perfect for little hands and it's weight is light enough that students are not fatigued by carrying it thru the marksmanship course/test.
I'm extremely impressed with this Tippmann - as I expected to be - and suspect it will give many years of faithful service as my original Tippmann 98. I'm already planning to purchase a few more to accommodate Kamp/participant growth.
Great gun. Added parts on it to make it look sick. Added a storage mag to hold allen keys and screw drivers. BiPod. APEX2 barrel to shoot around corners with quad rail shroud. Red dot sight. Never had a problem. I got tired of using the rental. Check the pic!
I love my Cronus! Built like a Tippmann A5 with just a little less power. Great deal, not to mention I ordered it with two-day shipping and it arrived like it was 1 day shipping. I also ordered a 20" barrel and threw on my extra M4 accessories and made a bad gun! Worth the buy!
Have been using this marker for 1 year now and have not had any problems really accurate and can upgrade in to pretty much anything your mind can think of I run this with my tipx which is also amazing, nothing better than tippmann
Gun and mask are nice, but the CO2 tanks are 2 years old! I purchased two of these packages; One of the guns came with a CO2 tank dated 07/16 the other is dated 08/16. The hydro test certifications on this type of tank are no good after 5 years from the date of manufacture. These tanks were 40% into their useful lives when I received them. Sporting goods stores, hardware stores and paintball fields will not refill them after they are 5 years old.
Great shipping got it whiting couple days only thing I didn’t like the 7 RL 5RL show in the pictures are round tip the ones I got in the mailed their tip are round but with a curve not completely flat round
I just recently got back into paintball after a decade hiatus.... and let me tell you WOW has technology advanced. I have had precisely zero issues with this after about 5 uses and an equal amount of cases of paint put through it. Used to be Ions were the only option at this price point that were worth it, and this thing is about 100x better. I recommend tuning your regulator and bolt cap (shot at ~260fps out of the box), but honestly even if you don't this thing still puts ropes of paint down range. Also mine came with a cheat sheet and not quite a manual, but if you're reading this I'm assuming you can Google and download the .pdf version.
Ordered it on at 12 on Saturday, got it at 12 on sunday, Amazon is the way to go for this stuff. The gun being a mini was suprisingly a decent sized gun for someone my size (6 feet, slim build) but honestly this product is amazing. It feels great, holds up well, and is pretty durable. Only thing I don't like is the barrel, it just doesn't feel well, it isn't bad but it's just my personal preference. I like how it comes with all the stuff u need from o-rings to lube to Allen keys. If u don't mind taking a few extra minutes to use an Allen key to tighten ur hopper or to clean it, this is the gun for u!!!
The gun itself is wicked hope that everything works properly. It arrived today and i was surprised to see the box scraped up. I guess it was a bottom of the barrel type deal⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Such a great gun for the money. It rips right outta the box. Your gonna need alot of paint!
It comes with everything except the wristband. It even came with a extra squeegee ????. This is a great starters package. The Co2 tank was not filled but it doesn't cost much to get it filled at a local sporting good store or paintball shop. It is not a action village tank but it is the same size they portrayed. I couldn't put the hand grip on with the provided hex keys but the gun is FANTASTIC. The red dot sight is beautiful ????. I may end up buying a new mask but this one is very usable it comes with a visor also. Assembling the gun is fairly easy. The harness belt is good quality it is JT. The pods are nice ???????? they are gen x global.
Love it Action Village, Job well done Fr!
Everything came as advertised.
the kids love this thing, very user friendly! can let off about 15 rounds w/ each nitro. hasn't been jammed since we bought and there has been heavy use.
