Got this for my daughter who insisted her baby needed a bib. I love Melissa and Doug products! Great value for all the pieces. Love the disappearing liquid in the bottles so she wont make me fill them up with water and make a mess everywhere. happy toddler happy mama.
I bought this job for a tiny one-year-old and she loves it. The dog is lightweight and small enough for tiny hands. The body is soft and bendable. She's not waterproof but that's the only thing that would make her better. Then she could get in the bathtub. Lovely little doll. You won't be sorry. Your baby will love it.
Nice doll that seems more lifelike than others on the market. The only downside is that it is a little flimsy and I wish it were slightly more sturdy but other than that it is nice. Comes with a paci too.
Was so disappointed to have the eyes get scary looking, kids were devastated
Small but my grandbaby still loved it. Perfect for a year old baby and down
We love this doll. She is very well made. Her head is a little smaller than it looks in the pictures, but my toddler could care less. She loves her. Perfect size. Has a little weight, bean body. Perfect to cuddle with.
I bought this doll as a birthday gift for my 3 year old. When she arrived her face looked nothing like the picture. Her lips were painted with a very dark pink/red paint and she looks like she's wearing lipstick. I didn't have enough time to return her and exchange her for another one and a doll is the one present my daughter had requested. This doll is well made and cuddly but the extended family has had some great laughs over the look of her face as she does look rather funny. I was really expecting more from a Melissa and Doug product as we have many of their toys and they are some of my childrens favorite toys.
Got this baby doll for our newly turned 2 year old. She loves it so much! She’s been taking care of this baby doll everyday, having so much fun.
Cons: I do have to say the skin of the doll is a bit fragile, it can be scratched just by a 2 yo’s nails. And the packaging plastic strings kinda put small holes on its cloth and blanket, which gives out small flaws. Also the cloth material and craftsmanship can be better since it’s pretty expensive, as you can see from the pictures I took, the edges aren’t cut evenly and some velco aren’t sewed properly. Other than these cons, so far so good.
It’s super cute and makes these cute facial expressions and baby talks. Since I didn’t get this doll at a discount deal or anything and it’s pretty expensive, I hope it can really last for years to come so my baby girl can play it growing up, and maybe even keep it as part of the collections of her nice childhood memory when she’s much older.
My daughter loves dressing up dolls, so I made an extra onesie out of my daughter’s old 9 months onesie for it. NB cloths are too long for this doll, so you would need to do some cutting and sewing if you wanna use them for this doll.
Oh also, a tip, when you stop playing with the doll it would stop moving or talking after awhile, to reactivate it simply put the popo or milk bottle in her mouth, wiggle it a bit the doll would move and talk again right away.
I’d recommend this doll for your precious babies! It’s very cute and very fun to play with and doesn’t look slightly creepy like some other dolls in the market (you know what I mean, like those from scary doll movies lol..). It would certainly make a wonderful gift. Your little girl would love it!
If my review is helpful, please give it a ‘helpful’ vote! Thanks! :)
My daughter LOVES this baby! She's packed her everywhere and played with her constantly since she got her 3 weeks ago. We replaced the sample batteries after about a week and haven't had to change them again. The baby makes the cutest noises and actually makes sad faces. It's adorable! She fusses, but gets happy again so it's not frustrating to the child playing with it. Her head turns towards the person talking to her. The sleep mode is great too, the baby makes cute cooing noises and falls asleep with in a minute. If bumped at night it doesn't start making noise again. Soft body and pretty soft legs/arms for plastic. She has a built in diaper so it won't get lost. We were pleasantly surprised to learn she fits American Girl clothes. My daughter and the baby have two matching outfits. I hope the baby lasts a long time because she absolutely loves it, so far it seems sturdy and well made.
Such a cute baby! It sucks, drinks, turns to your voice, coos, cries, frowns, laughs, and babbles. The only thing we can’t get it to do that it is supposed to is burp? Maybe we got a non-gassy baby? Otherwise this baby goes EVERYWHERE with us. We used a pacifier clip for a real baby to attach her pacifier because we kept losing it which just makes it even more real for my daughter! This baby is great because it’s like a baby version of those fur real pets!! Also there is no messy food or poop making! Nice job baby alive!!!!
My 4 year old begged for baby alive for months before Christmas. Was so excited to finally give it to her after having it 2 months hiding in the office. She didn't even have the doll two days and it had a hole in the chin. She was very disappointed in Santa. She's had a bandaid on her baby's chin since two days after Christmas and still loves her very much. Just not thrilled "Santa" spent $100.
After 1 month her eyelashes fell out and her face are dark marks all over. This doll has not been played with outside and I am very surprised this is happeneing. For the price she was I am very disappointed.
Beautiful doll, it's worth buying it she's passionate!
The doll is very fun and my daughter has been playing with her nonstop for the last 3 days. The clothes she came with are very cheap. The pajamas are already piled and makes it look like the doll is a year old, not a couple of days.
My daughter is 4 and this is easily her heaviest doll. This might be too heavy for younger kids to carry around.
La caja del producto llegó dañanda como lo muestran las fotos
This doll was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She has had it for two weeks now and hasn’t put it down. She loves this doll! For the use it has gotten, it was well worth the money spent. My only complaint is that the dolls lip color has not held up well. It’s only been two weeks and the color is badly peeling off. It hasn’t stopped my daughter from loving her, but it is a bit disappointing considering how much money was spent. Overall however, I would recommend.
I seriously recommend if you have the money to buy this doll. Her hair is amazing , falls beautifully, has the most cutest little features and it’s extremely durable. Would buy this line again with no thought ☺️
Camille is beautiful, but here is a little more.
I purchased 3 so I kind of copied pasted it as the features of the dolls are the same.
This doll is 14", smaller than regular AG dolls but it is also half of the price. $60 vs. $129. It is made of hard plastic, including the body. The limbs doesn't bend other than up/down. The eyes do not open/close as the 18" AG dolls. The hair is different than 18" AG dolls, feels more like plastic. I assume these dolls are different because: are cheaper and are intended for younger girls, so they are more "heavy duty" than 18" AG dolls.
These can go to the bath tub with the girls and are easy to clean and dress. The clothes are cute but also are easier for little girls to dress/undress.
As I said, I purchased three. Emerson, Willa and Camille. Two for my little nieces and one for my daughter, that is 15 years old with intellectual delay. She is always carrying a doll. It is easier for her (and me) to keep Emerson clean and she can dress her faster because she has undies and two pieces of clothes: blouse and skirt with velcro, and the boots, which are open in the back. (My daughter has gross & fine motor challenges) so with 18" dolls, we had recurrent episodes of her carrying naked pricey dolls, as she was frustrated of being unable to dress them. And because of her age, she will not allow me to help her as she used to when she was younger. The 18" are more delicate, because the torso is made of fabric and the eyes move, so you should not use water or touch the eyes if you want them to last longer. The clothes are a little more detailed than the WW's, so my kid wasn't able to provide proper care, but she does great with Emerson so she is so happy. I will get her another one as soon as I can.
The reason I ordered in Amazon is because the AG website has a very slow shipping process. You cannot see any information or estimated date of delivery which is useful when you are planning gifts. You see an estimate time of arrival until you complete your transaction (Even when you pay the full cost for shipping). I have purchased more than 5 dolls there and I had issues on 50% of them, mostly because they arrive later than expected. I am an Amazon customer for years but for some reason I was hesitant of purchasing original dolls from a "3rd party", but I was in a hurry and I was afraid of shipping issues so I gave it a chance. Amazon had the same price for the dolls with free shipping and 2-day delivery. I received them on time for Christmas. I just love Amazon transactions!! I also purchased clothes for the WW dolls from Emily Rose store. Those are cute, well made and cheaper than the AG outfits.
Overall a super cute doll, perfect for a younger child since its smaller than the standard American Girl dolls. I actually think it fits into the 18in doll accessories like the cars and campers better than the big ones. Gave 4 stars because of the hair. It's so uneven and drives me crazy. American Girl wont help since I ordered from Amazon and I'm passed my limit to return so I guess I'm stuck with it. A friend got her little girl the same one and ordered it from AG and hers is fine, which makes me wonder where this one actually came from.
Got this for my 4 yr old for Christmas, she loved the doll so much it had to be with her 24/7. My daughter babied her doll and after a few months of gentle use the plastic broke off and now she has no leg and it can’t be put back together. For $60 this doll should be really sturdy and not break like this. My girl cried so hard when the leg fell off
My daughter has had Camille for around a week. This morning she was moving her arms to change her outfit (not roughly, I was sitting right there) and the doll’s shoulder cracked. I’m really disappointed in the quality. Not what I expected for the price at all.
My daughter got this doll from grandma for her second birthday last year, she’s had it almost a year and loves it! I love the quality and how small and portable she is. She is perfect size for younger girls, but still stays true to the American Girl brand. I haven’t seen a prettier doll. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has a little girl who loves dolls. My daughter plays with this doll a lot and likes to take her on our little adventures.
So this happened within 15 minutes of playtime... Thankfully amazon is replacing with no fuss but the look of horror on my kids face after her FIRST doll lost a leg was priceless.
Amazon shipped us a replacement- so far this doll has had better luck! My daughter was hesitant to accept the new toy, but quickly got over her hesitation. Thank you amazon for making this right! Happy birthday to my little one!
I I’ve had this doll since I was born in 1997....and yes, it may look absolutely awful and to some, but it’s a comfort object! and it has been very well loved and withstood (and is still standing - I AINT getting rid of it) the test of time (hey, 21 years is pretty good if you ask me). I decided to buy another just in case at some point they stop being made. They are so soft! there is a review on here saying they are over stuffed and I don’t get that because mine came in just fine! the picture is not misleading at all, in my opinion. I’m 100% happy with it!
I bought two of these for my daughters- it’s the closest I have found to a replica of *my* beloved childhood doll. The picture is very misleading. The facial features on them are not centered, which ends up changing the effect/emotion of their face. They are also pretty underfilled in the arms and legs, and almost over filled in the head.
Don’t judge, dolly is 29 years old and has traveled the world with me! She’s been through a lot, but she’s one strong doll! Lol
I was a little disappointed when I opened the box because of how tiny they were BUT they made up for it on how they make the glug glug sound as if it was being drank. I saw some today at WM that were not nearly as nice as these ones. The design on them are a bit outdated, but otherwise pretty great! My son is going to love feeding his baby's with these.
Purchased about a month ago, everything seemed fine. Never really noticed an active leak, but obviously now both bottles have gone down by about 1/4. I mean, I wasn't expecting amazing quality, but still extremely disappointed.
Kid loves it. After 5 months and of tons of use, it still has the liquid in it. Liquid "disappears" when you turn it upside down so the baby "drinks it". The liquid comes back as soon as you turn the bottle right side up.
These are unbelievable. Do not buy If only I could give a zero ....this is very small ink pen beside it. When I saw it I had a good laugh. Ridiculous
The bottle of juice came empty. I'm giving two stars only because my daughter loves to play with it.
The Milk Bottle arrived LEAKING and no returns.
Received this set as a gift. I disliked the obnoxious pattern that covers both bottles, so I wiggled a knife under the edges and then peeled them off and scrubbed the bottles and now they look just like the ones I had as a child!
