This gun is fantastic and shoots faster than I had anticipated.
As you can see from my pictures, I shot at a tree from 40 feet away and the BBs penetrated both the bark and underlying wood.
Look and Feel:
This gun is not small by any means. With regard to size it is a true-to-life replica. The weight distribution is located mostly in the handle and allows it to rest comfortably in your hand. Although it does have a fairly noticeable plastic feel, the gun still maintains a solid build and can pass as real.
Accuracy and Power:
I set the gun on a tripod and marked a piece of wood at the point where my sight was aimed. I then shot and marked the point where the BB actually hit in order to measure the drop from different distances. At 40 feet the drop is less than 1/4inch. At 60 feet the drop was measured at 3/4 of an inch. At 80 feet the drop became more prevalent and measured in at a little over 1 and a half inches. At 100 feet the drop was measured as 2 inches, and at that distance the BBs also started to slightly curve with the prevailing wind. I started the test with a full cartridge of CO2.
Lifespan of CO2 cartridge size:
Overall the C02 cartridges offered a steady 90 shots worth of decently accurate trigger pulls. After that the depletion of air became more evident as each shot started to drop more and more. Overall: 90 decently accurate and powerful shots, 40 lob shots, and 10 shots that travel no more than 10 feet. I recorded an average of 150 shots per CO2 cartridge.
This is not a quick pour reload gun. The magazine holds 20 BBs and you have to insert them into the clip one by one. I often find myself spending more time reloading than shooting.
The magazine clip has a tendency to jam. For every 5 magazine loads I would insert I would say 2 of them ended up in a jam. At which point I had to remove the magazine, remove the clogged BB, and reinsert the magazine (sometimes I had to do this 2-3 times until finally the top BB was properly pushed into the chamber).
Item is great, I liked it and ordered and did not read anything at all because some reviews were good. If you plan to order it, make sure to order co2 and other stuff as well. Doesnt come with any.
I have the Umx MandP 40. As well as their HK Usp. And a crosman 1911 tactical. Of the four pistols. The umarex M&P is the most accurate, but the XBG is not far behind. And is a great value and overall fun lil' gun!
Update: I opened the gun up and smeared super lube over everything inside that moves. This made a huge difference in how smooth the trigger action is. The effort is much lower and less gritty, more buttery. I suggest you do this. All you do is remove the one screw on top and pull off the slide.
This is the best value co2 bb pistol out there. After lubing the action and a few hundred trigger pulls it's now an acceptable but very long DA trigger. You get used to staging the trigger for more accurate shots, but you can pull pretty fast and empty the mag too. I'm happy with the accuracy under 10 yards and the power is nice.
This thing hits hard. I have both the umarex Colt Commander and the PPK/S and they are much better all steel replicas with blowback- but they're weak shooters. The xbg is better for destroying cans and clays. I like the stick magazine, it works well and they're cheap to replace and much quicker to reload than the pistols above. Honestly I reach for the xbg the most now due to the higher fps, more shots per charge, and faster reloading. It tucks iwb real nice and comfy too for capping cans in the yard concealed carry style.
Overall I'm very happy with it. The grip is nice although it's rather toy like with regard to weight. It looks just like a Springfield xd which isn't terrible.
I’ve only opened it today and fired 4 rounds of BB’s - the aim is surprisingly true. Powerful too - the BB’s kicked up a hole in the lawn and I doubt they’ll resurface anytime soon. I needed something for camping in rattlesnake territory - this will do it. I hope I don’t have to use it. The rattler we came across last year was a young Western and very docile (my dog unknowingly sat on it) and it quickly slithered away instead of striking. But we have more than Westerns out there - some more aggressive rattler species - that’s where this gun comes in. Again, my hope is that the snakes and I can peacefully coexist for a few days. I figured I’d need a few days to learn the aim but nope - the sites are accurate - done. Highly recommend. My other is a Colt Defender so this was surprisingly light in comparison and I assumed it would be weaker too - but I don’t think it is. Buy it - it’s $30 well spent. Use responsibly - these use metal BB’s - they are powerful and they absolutely can be deadly.
I bought this gun a while back but the co2 just arrived, I was thrilled to begin shooting but when I out the co2 in, the gun had a leak that spilled everything out. I wasted 10 cartridges and didn't get a single shot out of it. I took it to the professional and they said it was busted BEFORE I EVEN USED IT. Wasted over 60$ on something that didn't even work. Don't buy.
Best airgun in my collection. Absolutely love it!
Feels kinda cheap. Doesnt fire every time. Read all directions and it still does'nt work everytime. Applied oil to the mechs in hopes it would help but it still lacks the consistincy to fire all bb's. Had to keep removing the clip and a bb would fall out. Not happy with this gun. I own a crossman that works mint and a sig sauer mpx thats reliable. Im not new to pellets or bbs'. Not recommending this gun. I will do more research on this, but as of now im disappointed in the consistincy of this gun.UPDATE. 7/29. I recieved a new replacement gun today from amazons great customer service (you guys rock!) Just ran 6 clips and had the same issue with it not firing all the bbs'. It happened fewer times but still happens at least twice a clip. Gun has great accuracy! Handles awesome but it just does'nt work everytime. I've tried waiting 5 secs between shots. Same result. I even took the time to respond to the manufacture who commented on my review.Had to leave a message which hasn't been returned. Bogus i tell ya! Good thing umarex does'nt make real firearms.
Pretty accurate from 20 to 40 yards. Beware when your co2 is getting low. You can hear the pop get softer. From time to time it will miss fire from too many bb’s being released from the clip. I recommend getting a a loader. Very powerful.
Shoots good shoots straight 19 bbs per clip need to buy extra clips, $30 well worth it, I'd advise buying Umarex co2 cartridges also wanting the Umarex storm it's automatic with 30 burst rounds 430fps takes x2 co2 cartridges Bad A**
This is an amazing handgun. I've played some matches with it and I will give you my thoughts in the form of pros and cons.
Metal slide (Unexpected surprise!)
Doesn't waste Co2. Great gas mileage
Good fps for blowback (380-390 fps)
Easy to load bbs thanks to a side hole on the magazine
Co2 doesn't go in the magazine
Shoots as accurate as expected from a co2 handgun
Upon loading co2 cartriges, it doesn't leak gas like most other guns with similar cartridge loading method.
Fits perfectly into my vest holster
CONS: ocasionnally slide will lock back prematurely while shooting. Seems to get better as I use it though. Some silicon lube might not be a bad idea, but it seems to be getting better on its own. Ive emptied many mags without this issue happening now.
Co2 cartidge a little difficult to change. Easy to access, but you almost have to pry it out with something. Not necessarily an issue during matches tho, due to how conservative it is with gas.
I bought it for 61 bucks. AWESOME.
If you want a COST EFFECTIVE, WELL MADE, ASS KICKING airsoft sidearm handgun that's co2 gas blowback, then THIS is for you. It certainly was for me.
I watched a review of the gun on YouTube claim that the blowback is weaker than expected but it must be the previous model, as this gun blowback so powerful it almost feel like real one. One gas cartridge would last an average of 7 mag in a cold day of Texas. The uper part is metal. Grip is plastic and feel a bit cheap made. I think this gun’s barrel doesn’t support supressor. Mag release is easy, maybe too easy I drop it on the field once and had my team look for it. The mag is metal and heavy feel. The function I live about this gun is it automatically lock the slider when mag is empty. Best bang for the buck pistol on eBay. I decided to get this after read a bunch of reviews on Google.
Feels like my fathers p99! It shoots really well it's a highly accurate and great secondary side arm for when my gr26 runs out or fails it's great to have this gun by my side as a secondary. It sounds kinda like a nail gun when you shoot it and does have a pretty decent blowback feel to it. The safety is kinda hard to work into but with some dry spray lube I got it going smoothly. Great purchase !
Just got it today already love it everything I have ever wanted in a airsoft pistol
It’s amazing it’s got a really good co2 seal and it has a really good reload the safety is good too
the gun broke in 2 months of gentle usage - a peace of barrel just fell off. Would like to get a replacement
Arrived on time . Honestly the best airsoft gun I've ever bought. Yes there is some drop but it is nuthing compared to what other people are saying. The gun is perfect For me and the price is great!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend it all the way.????????????????????????????????
this is very awesome gun ! Does someone know how to take off the orange's muzzle ? It looks very ugly ...
Great gun for the price! I love revolvers and this one looks big and bad. Mounting rails on top and bottom. I mounted a red dot scope on mine. The gun was pretty accurate with just the iron sights. The scope made it extremely accurate.
This gun is also capable of shooting pellets. I ordered a set of pellet magazines which were for the COLT 44 revolver. Both guns used the same bb magazines so the pellet magazine for that gun also works with this one. That was another plus for this gun.
Can't go wrong with the Brodax, especially at this price point!
[[VIDEOID:d754d688e6d0a7a3c88d17d7c6f5ccc3]] This BB gun is quite amazing. It’s got some weight which makes it very nice, the internals are all metal and very well constructed. The plastic is very very durable and very hard to scratch. Out of the box the the looks wowed me, very well construction and design very eye appealing. I have found that when loading the gun, you will want to use Steel BB’s as those fit best into the rotary mags. The hex key built into the handle for me was very easy to get to and makes it a lot more convenient than lugging a hex key around. When inserting your CO2 you will want to put a dab of pellgun oil on the top of the cartridge, this allows lubrication for the puncture needle and the O-ring within the gun and keeps a seal. The gun is pretty accurate and I have so far cycled about 100 bb’s through it, 65-70 is when you’ll need to exchange CO2 cartridges. The gun is very strong, I shot it at about 50 feet at a piece of wood and it stuck into it. I also shot metal targets at about 50 feet and it leaves a noticeable dent in them. I choose to use single action as it makes the trigger weight less, although it does shoot as double as well. The noise produced from this gun is pretty intimidating, indoors it sounds close to a .22, outdoors it’s about as loud as a clap. Overall I am VERY impressed with this product and HIGHLY recommend it.
This gun is great and its fun to shoot but I keep having problems with the BB's staying in the cylinder. I have been using the standard Crossman bulk BB's but I have some BB's from Umarex on the way so hopefully that clears that up.
Whatever small issues it has it's definately a mean looking revolver. The barrel terminates about a half inch before the end so it really looks like a large caliber revolver even at short distance. The two rails give you plenty of space to mount sights, lasers, flashlights, or all three and the holographic sight I have on mine is on there solid and straight.
All in all I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun BB gun with a low price point. Pick one up.
I really like this air pistol. It is fun to shoot and looks bad ass. I added a little red/green dot sight to mine but it was accurate before that with its fixed sights. I like using it in my backyard to shoot cans while I'm grilling.
Great pistol for the money. Shoots BBS straight and has a substantial feel in the hand. I like the grip angle, it feels like classic revolver and looks like a beast.
Nice single action trigger. DA is squishy and imprecise like most other revolvers, but shooting fast just wastes co2 anyhow. If I take a few seconds between shots I'll get about 80 per cartridge, but unloading all 10 a couple times brings that way down.
Rail space is very generous and the sights are accurate enough. I used a sharp knife to knock down a few rough edges and casting marks around the sight areas- but really what I need is a $20 red dot for my $25 pistol. I put some cheap plastic airsoft accessories on it and this thing is ready for some tactical night plinking...
This is my favorite bb pistol so far.
Like the 10 round magazine. I use Hornady black diamond BBs they fit snug and don't fall out. I haven't tried other's but these work. I cannot use open sights with my eyesight so I put a field sport red/green dot sight $20.00 on it.
The trigger action on this is just right for me, allowing more steady shots.
Can't believe how nice this is for $35
I shoot at 25 feet and it's pretty accurate with the red dot.
The action on this is the same as the python 357 which I also own. People wonder if the pythons pellet cartridges will work in the brodax. In my opinion they do and very well. Just remember the pellets load into the back of the metal cartridge whereas bbs load into the front of the plastic cartridges. Pyramid air sells a 3 pack for abt $10.
that is relly good toy ，i like it
5 stars to this bad ass gun weighs close 2 pounds umarex should sell more guns like this for the low price they would sell good!!!!! Badass guns will recommend
A tad too loud if you live in an apartment with neighbors other than that way worth the money spent
Great looking BB gun!
After a month or so of hemming and hawing I purchased a Umarex S&W M&P 40 (the GBB version of course) to replace my beloved Cybergun Sig SP2022. The SP2022 is a wonderful pistol, and fitted with a rail mounted laser sight it's been my "deterrent" gun.
The M&P appears to be a nice pistol, 'shoots in the 300FPS range, and the build quality seems to be pretty good.
As with all of my gas-powered guns, I had put the obligatory drop of Crosman Pellgun Oil on the tip of the first Crosman CO2 cartridge and the CO2 had leaked out over night, which did not surprise me. After installing the 2nd cartridge (it's now been 3-days) the gun sealed up fine.
I'm still learning the intricacies of the M&P and since it's Saturday I decided to spend some time today working with it.
One of the first issues to come up was upon field stripping, a small strip of silver tape was scrunched up between the slide and barrel. The only logical explanation for this piece of tape is to protect the black paint on the breech from scratches when the slide cycles. It's a "cute" idea, and I'm sure that though it works great for "demo" guns at the LSG, the reality is; That piece of tape is eventually going foul something (barrel, guide rod, or..) and most people aren't going to want to have to "field strip" a BB gun that they just spent $80.00 on. I have to wonder how many of these guns have been returned as defective due to this (as with most of the pistols that I own; I polished the breech and barrel on my M&P so I'm not concerned with minor scratches on the breech).
The BIGGEST factor that kept me from purchasing a Umarex S&W M&P 40 sooner is that in EVERY YT review it shoots low, and we're talking 2" to 4", which to me is completely unacceptable! Now what nobody realizes or makes mention of in their YT reviews (and there's no mention of it in the owners manual either) the Umarex S&W M&P 40 has an adjustable hop up adjusted by a screw in the bottom of the barrel assembly. Now I have yet to shoot any BB's thru mine, I'm hopeful that hop up is in fact adjustable to correct for elevation
One of the big complaints I've read about this gun is the the lack of a catch on the magazine to facilitate loading BB's. In the next week or so I'll try to look into it and come up with a DIY fix, do not expect the manufacturer to address it anytime soon.
Things that you're going need:
1. A good pair of shooting safety glasses.
2. A tube of Crosman Pellgun Oil (This is one of the most valuable upkeep/maintenance items that you can get for trouble free performance).
3. CO2 cartridges, I only use Crosman brand in my guns due the CO2 cartridge seals are broken in to the shape of the Crosman cartridge tips.
4. 4.5mm/.177 cal BB's. Brand is going to be your choice I have bottles of Daisy Copperheads, Daisy Match Grade Avante, and Excite Smart Shot (copper coated lead) BB's.
This gun is a keeper and is fast becoming one of my favorite air pistols. I had the opportunity to run a few magazines thru it last weekend and the gun does shoot low, I haven't had the time to modify the rear sight for elevation. The shot grouping at 30' is very good. I mounted a laser sight and a rechargeable flashlight. The gun will fit a Bulldog Cases holster (large) with the laser installed if you wet mold the holster. The loading spring on the magazine is a finger nail cracker, though using DIY speedloaders made from Bic pens it's manageable.
6-months later and I like this gun so much that I purchased another one! The first one has now been cannibalized for parts in order to convert my Airsoft (6mm plastic BB) M&P 9L Perfomance Center (Extended slide) to use 4.5mm steel/lead BB's. Though this gun is sold under the Umarex label, it's manufactured by KWC and the internals are identical.
This is the most realistic steel BB pistol available at this time. Definitely one to add to your collection. The only problem is that it shoots 5-6 inches low at 10 yards. This makes it unacceptable as a good target shooter, but luckily I have a fix!! First of all this gun actually has a hop up. The only steel BB gun I have ever seen with one. There is a screw on the bottom of the barrel breech and I was able to screw it in a few extra turns and could see the "hop up" moving inside the barrel. This helped a little with the gun shooting low but it was still not enough. The next step in correcting a low shooting gun is to adjust the sights. Unfortunately this gun does not have adjustable sights for elevation. You can adjust windage at the front sight but the rear has no adjustment. So like in the old days to correct a low shooting gun you start lowering the front sight by filing it down. I had to file the top of the front sight down about 0.050 inches lower. This made the top of the sight right at the top of the white dot. Used a black marker to "repaint" the bare metal and cover the white dot. It will now shoot to point of aim as good as my Umarex Colt Commander and my Cybergun Sig P226 X-Five steel BB pistols. Great fun on my backyard half scale steel challenge stages!!
Perfect. I love this hand gun for running drills in my yard. It's almost identical to the real thing.
The umarex m&p 40 is very nice and detailed looks and feels pretty close to the real thing. My only complaint is the magazine is very hard to load unless you have a tool Its almost impossible using your fingers to load this. I damaged my magazine trying to load it the first time because the spring kept on flinging back as I was trying to get BBs in. It would’ve been nice if they had a lock on the magazine to hold the spring back while loading.
edit after less than a weeks use
after about 4 co2 carts my gun doesnt hold the air properly. it shoots the first round and then the next shot shoots all the co2 out the barrel ive been using the umarex brand co2 carts too.
Had to get a replacement because co2 bolt was messed up but other than that it’s the best co2 pistol I own
Great just wish I knew what that silver tape inside slide was for
Upper slide dysfunctional (upper slide doesn't close). Does not shoot. Comparing this to my colt commander 1911, this one is worse in every aspect, parts are also not manufactured or quality controlled well. Return requested.
Was so excited. But then....whole thing is meesed up.
When I took the pistol out of the box, the paint was already chipping off the slide. I decided to strip the paint down to the metal and hopefully be able to paint the slide again. Overall, it is a fun pistol because it is so realistic.
I got this at my local gun store about a week ago and have been having lots of fun with it, love the weight. The trigger isn't the best but it works. I touched mine up to look more used with a Scotch Brite pad and colored the grips, I'll provide some pics.
This gun is the next best thing to a "real" Colt, except one advantage. BBS are cheaper to fire than bullets! The second my fiancé,who this was a gift for,saw our daughter with the shell casings he knew it was here and his face has been lit up ever since. He says it's nicer than any "real" gun he's ever owned. Having shot it myself, ill be buying the Nickel finish for me. This guns got some power behind it, and I wouldn't wanna be on the other end. While it's not a toy, ladies this is the perfect gift for any gun or Western enthusiast in your life. I'll be buying more for family members who fell in love as well! Very happy with my purchase. thanks umarex & Colt! ????????
[[VIDEOID:724cd37e197fab8f569983068fbc74cc]] Very good quality especially for the price! History comes alive! This gun also known as the Single Action Army, SAA, Model P, Peacemaker, M1873, and Colt .45 is a single-action revolver with a revolving cylinder holding six metallic cartridges. It was designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company – today's Colt's Manufacturing Company – and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892.
This replica so much more than I expected! It shoots very very well, no jams!
I don't know how to truly relay my love of this air pistol. It's my first blowback and I fear I've set the bar so high nothing else will compare. I had an issue .45 while serving as an MP in the Army and this thing feels and fires so similarly I won't even bother with the differences because they truly are minor. It's ridiculously accurate and easy to shoot. The dropout mag loads rather easily once you figure out how it works and the mag release is so smooth you have to remind yourself it's a BB gun, and not a real mag. The only negative is that it eats CO2 like a hungry pitbull on a porkchop. I get three, maybe four mags down range before I notice the drop in velocity and power. Still, that said they're an awfully fun 4 mags!!!
If you want a solid, all metal (save the grips - which you can change easily enough to something nicer), blow back I triple dog dare you to find something better for the price. Prior to this my S&W revolver was my favorite handgun, but this knocked that so far out of the running I almost feel bad for it, lol.
Definitely not a toy, it looks and almost feels and weighs like the real one it weighs a little less but honestly not much difference it does not come with an orange cap, it can be mistaken as a real gun the barrel size does not look much different than a .22 (dont ever look down the barrel even if you know its not loaded) if you're buying this for your kid it would be a good start in teaching them safty rules and laws when handling a gun, i strongly recommend parent supervision with this.
This is about as close to the real deal of a 1911 that you will find before getting in to powder burners. This thing shoots better then I can LOL. This is not a hard shooting gun and its best use is pinking and for keeping your skills up to snuff. Many parts can be changed to the real firearm parts with none, little, or some modification to them. As said it will eat CO2 so make sure you have a lot. the Kick back is enough to throw the sight off the mark forcing you to aim again just like the real deal. The trigger, slide action, all normal 1911 working style or feel just not as strong as a 45 acp, it is more like a 22lr round.. The slide now and then dose not lock open on last shot but easy fix with a dot of JB weld placed on the slide stop right were the mag hits. as an old 1911 lover and one who has built a few I will tell ya get this one, save your money for good ammo and use this one for training, practice, and the bad weather days. Then again you may find your shooting and tinkering with this one more then you ever thought , I know I have been!!
This gun is amazing. As a security officer I carry a glock 19 for work and I really wanted to tech my son about gun safety without having to use the real thing. This is the perfect training tool. The build quality is amazing and I am highly impressed on the detail.
I wish I could give this thing 5 stars because it is pretty awesome. It's heavy. It feels like a 9mm pistol. I have a beretta that is lighter than this BB gun.
I bought this to shoot the birds that have been pestering my garden. And yes, it works. I've taken down a couple.
It really does feel awesome in the hand. The only problem with with the load action. Once in awhile a Bb will drop out and fall to the ground. This is usually after you load the mag.
All in all. I would buy it again. All day. It's dope for BB gun. Lol.
This bad boy lets you experience the thrill of one the world's most popular, most effective handguns without the hassle of licensure, paying for range time or spending a bundle on ammo. It is now by far my favorite blowback! Good stuff!!
Very realistic 1911 replica. Shoots nice. Dots on sights are way to glossy for me. In situations where lights behind you it's hard to be accurate. Weathered mine, I really like a heavily used looking 1911. Very accurate heavy heavy blowback, probly like a .22? Packaging sucks for this quality of pistol. Please repackage in a box no more clam shells! Yes the grips will interchange with real 1911 grips (with slight modification to grips very easy mod) I used my ergo grips from my taurus.
gun looks and feels realistic.good gun only wish it had a little bit more power
I love everything about this gun. Super great feeling in the hand, good weight, the blow back is actually nice to have and the iron sights are good.
If I could change anything? I do think the trigger pull is a little different, but I don't consider it an issue. The only other thing would be the safety. I would like it to have an option to have the safety be flipped on and off easily (like it has) AND then have an option to secure it so the safety can't be accidentally bumped off.
I included a picture of my first shots with this gun (I know I am terrible, no need to remind me)
Overall.... love 1911's and this is a fantastic gun. Considering getting different versions of this gun because I love it so much
It's really fun too shoot it's strong too but tha hammer on tha back tha pieces if it are coming off as im shooting it but over all its a great co2 pistol so I recommend buying it
Really awesome co2 gun shoots nice and is very heavy duty feeling
It worked fine for five months then one day when I decided to put in a new Co2 cartridge it started leaking..... Really bad. I've tried different cartridges but the second I put it in it starts spraying it out, I even somehow injured my thumb from the sudden explosion of ice cold Co2.
FUN FUN! This is the bb gun I always wanted when I was 16. Full auto selection, blow back, slide lock on last round. Field strips identical to the real one. Weight is similar to the real one. You can see through the mag well to the ejection port. Not much off from the real one. It is full metal along with the mag. The slide pull is heavy for a BB gun, pretty close to a .22lr. Most of the internals seem to me metal aside from a few bb specific parts. I'm using this as a trainer weapon for my kids. And then when they are not around, I'm going to blow through multiple mags on full auto, because doing it with a real firearm is too expensive. Even if you are a firearm guy, this air gun will earn your respect.
Stop thinking of buying any other air gun and get THIS ONE now. You will not be disappointed. From the moment I opened the box, I have been in love. It shoots very well and fairly accurate. I purchased a (Weaver rail) laser sight and the accuracy improved to near perfect. FULL AUTO - - - Need I say more? It really does shoot full auto, doesn't jam, sounds amazing.
The blow back is perfect and pretty realistic. It's a huge aid with learning how to hold, breathe, etc. when shooting. But with this air gun - you can shoot in your BEDROOM if you want!
The only thing I'd recommend when purchasing this piece = Be very VERY careful if you're out in public or around people. This air gun is extremely realistic and so far, not one person I've shown it to (without looking down the barrel, of course) has been able to tell it's not a real Beretta until they held it themselves and inspected it.
The purchase of this air gun has prompted me to start collecting more. I've found a new hobby! Excellent product, Umarex!!!
Pretty good gun, mounted a flashlight to the rail and it fits very well.only issue out of the box is that the mag is tough to load at first and you have to really work the bb into the mag,but after loading about two mag fulls it breaks the plastic in and makes it easier to load, also another issue is it seems to have some cycling issues when firing for the first time, had to rack a new bb a couple times to finish the first mag i ran through it,hopefully it is just an "out of the box" issue and will go away after a few more mags get ran through it.other than that.really solid gun,i would recommend
My favorite air gun so far. Extremely realistic looking and weight. 10/10
I polished the Barrel and magazine. Will polish the whole gun soon
Best value on an air gun I've ever purchased.. excellent Gun.. exactly like the original firearm...This is truly almost identical to my 9mm Beretta..same weight..feel...look... operation..I am truly impressed
I LIKE THE UNIT BUT I NEED 2 NEW CLIPS AS I LOST THE BACK BB PLATE AND SCREW TRYING TO LOAD IT, SO I NEED 2 NEW CLIPS, ELSE GREAT ITEM AND SELLER, CANCEL THE CANCEL ORDER, I WILL TAKE THE LOSS~~A FRIEND
Fun to shoot ..however the bb's are scraping the feeding ramp. Also there is this little piece of metal spring that is sticking out in front of the pin where my slide catch is position.
Sexy looking, good feeling, good shooting, gun.
I was really looking forward to this gun. I got it and unboxed it then took the screw out for the cO2 and it would never screw back in. Disappointed....
Got this gun today, had to oil it and work the action a bit to break it in as it was sticking. I love the rear cocking slide, but Umarex screwed up big time with the rear sight. First it's sloppy molding, has trace molding seals hanging off, "Quality Control", and the sight was set down the center which was way off from where the barrel was aligned.
I had to move the rear sight hard right to reach a soup can at 20 yards.
Oh, BTW, my standard for any BB or pellet gun is a steel soup can at 20 yards, less than that and it's crap.
I set up targets at 7,15,and 20 yards. The pistol was way off from the start, but the rear sight can be moved, so I did, but the cheap plastic molded sight stripped out real easy when I tried to tighten back the set screw. VERY DISAPPOINTED....!.
But, in the end I was successfully plinking a steel post at 7 yards, then a beer can in a tree split at 15 yards and consistently on a steel soup can at 20 yards with Crosman 7.4 gr lead wad-cutters
OK, it's accurate, and the single action trigger cocking makes all the difference because the double action is absolutely horrible.
If Umarex would change this rear sight to an easily adjustable one like on the Walther PPQ pellet gun,or a quality competition sight,,, it would be a HUGE IMPROVEMENT..!
I'm gonna sight in my UTG RED/GREEN DOT next, perhaps I'l get rifle like accuracy.
After further shooting sessions I had to revise my review! All good! Check back for further Developments.
10-19 Just adding chronograph readings. Using JSB Exact Diablo pellets and Daisy CO2 capsules it shoots at a velocity of between 330fps and drops down to about 295fps slow firing 8 shots. Also the shot count leveled off at about 80 to 96 shots now.
It's had an ever climbing shot capacity as I've been using it. Out of the box it was only 48 shots and every new CO2 capsule has increased it by several shots. This last session was 112 shots before the power dropped off. Outstanding! None of the blowback models can do that. Obviously the gun has a break in period. Also I have no problem shooting in double action and shooting really nice groups. It's not a heavy trigger pull. The rotary mags are really quick to fill too by just dribbling pellets on them and most chambers will fill. The stick mags like the Gamo use, you have to insert each pellet one at a time. Very slow.
I was interested in the action of this pistol out of all the ones I've seen out there and this is the budget model for Umarex. The blowback slide models are very cute, but use up capsules quick. It's nicely made and shoots a very tight group especially with the $16 laser sight I installed. The rear sight is windage adjustable, but not too hard to knock out of alignment. Also the rear on mine had to be moved well to the right to bring the aim into center. It has a hex grub set screw but since it's threaded into plastic it's not going to do much. Maybe dab a bit of lock tight in the dovetail when you get it right would hold it.
I got 88 shots before the power dropped off. Very happy with that. Earlier I only got 48 shots. Break in period maybe? I like the drop in rotary mag in the top. Very easy. It has a BB mag too but I'd avoid using BBs since they'll put wear on the barrel rifling. Unless you get some lead balls which should work fine. I racked the slide for each shot in SA and it was no chore at all. Shooting DA worked very well and not real heavy.
One trick to quick load the mags. Place one rear side up in your palm and drop a handful of pellets on it and many will fall right into the chambers.
The pistol top and frame is a dense plastic that feels much like metal. The insides look all metal and nicely made. The safety is quite nice and easy to switch. One odd thing is that if it's cocked the safety will not engage until it's fired. The compartment access for the CO2 capsule is cute and unique. Flip the butt heel down and then the back frame strap pops open and hinges up.
Overall a really nice very accurate pistol for a budget price. My single annoyance is the easy to knock out rear sight. The best thing I like is the outstanding accuracy!
The photo shows the pistol with the laser mounted. The target photo was 8 rapid shots in double action and the other dot target was single action fire.
Three simple reasons I dislike this gun.
#1. The trigger pull is very tricky and until you get used to it you'll encounter a lot of miss fires. I do well with my. 22's at the firing ranges so it's not like I'm a novice shooter. The trigger has a lot of play so it has to be about half pulled back before you can set your aim. Then once set, the aim can be pulled off due to the hard pull of the trigger. This kind of difficulty Smith & Wesson admits to. Men may not find this difficult yet I am a fairly strong female and well exercised in shooting.
#2. I may have gotten a lemon because I have NEVER had the back of the stock, handle, grip, whatever you want to call it, come off. The back lifts up as you change the gas cylinder and it lifted up and this time "off", exposing a spring that I cannot align in order to replace it correctly. That did it. So with it now lying on the table in more pieces than I want to admit, I decided to come here and write this review. Which leaves me to. >>>
#3. Unless you like loading pellets one by one into a carousel type cartridge don't bother with this gun. One by painstakingly one you have to drop the pellets into the little holes in the cartridge making sure they're all pointing in the same direction. Is this the norm for pellet guns? UGH....
I have owned this gun for close to seven very well taken care of months and only wish it had fallen apart sooner so I could return it.
I spent so much money on the pellets, extra cartridges, oil and gas cylinders to come to this end.
Where's my hanky when I need one!
This gun is not bad
I got this over Christmas and it's awesome. I love the pellet rotary 8 shot clip. I did not experience any jamming. Only minor issue is a heavier trigger. It's accurate enough but I did add a laser to it for maximum point and shoot efficiency, see pic. If you want to see how it shoot with a laser then go here: https://youtu.be/4R7alxbUXXA
Hi folks. I'm fortunate enough to have the real thing chambered in .357 magnum and this replica is an absolute beauty and is very similar to the real deal. The .357 is so expensive to shoot, and I wanted to get something similar to practice in my own backyard without having to go to the range and spend $50 every time.
I'm happy to say that this Colt replica is so incredibly fun to shoot that I think I even enjoy shooting it more, as I don't have to clean it when I'm done and 100 rounds only costs me $1.50!
It's also super accurate and heavy like my original. Co2 lasts a long time. Absolutely AWESOME!!
So I got the gun about a week or so ago and when I saw it, I thought what an amazing piece this was. It’s incredibly accurate to the real thing! After admiring how amazing it looked, I went to pull the hammer back and it wouldn’t budge. I was confused at first, looking around it and putting the safety on and taking it off. Didn’t work. I figured the only way to see what was wrong with it was to take it apart, but I didn’t have a small enough screwdriver to unscrew it, so I had to wait until I was able to acquire one. Finally took it apart and I saw that the small piece in the pics was already broken right out of the box! There was no small, loose, piece inside the gun or the box, so I assume it had to have broken during assembly and was never replaced. I am quite dissatisfied with that fact. I now have a completely non-working replica of a weapon I expected to be able to use, and now can’t.
[[VIDEOID:13abd71810286a9ed680126d26b023e9]] My new favorite. Loves Crosman 10.5 gr ultra magnums, holds a 1" off-hand group at 10 yards.. Plenty of power, flips the discs on the caldwell resetting steel target.. Beautiful!
I don't know what kind of magic voodoo umarex compresses into these!
They make the crosman ones seem like toys.
I just compared the two in separate mags in my sig sp2022 .177. I'll never buy anything but umarex!
Top Target is umarex. Bottom is crosman. Ya.
This product is not compatible with Drain Gun for A/C Condensate Lines
Bought this with my umarex brodax. I can't wait to try it out
READ what print says they advertising walther but you get cheap umerex
these things are pretty big
I bought one of these as it is unique, but after about a thousand shots the trigger stopped. It would not activate anymore.
I took it apart only to see it was a horribly cheap sealed unit, not worth the $120-150 that these things sell for.
BEWARE,,,, if you buy this gun it has a VERY short life span. It's really a cool design and fun as hell to shoot, just not too much as it's just 2 sides clam shelled over a pot metal insert that is very unreliable.
VERY CHEAP- REALISTICALLY SHOULD NOT COST OVER $50
Hopefully in the future Umarex will offer a better quality semi/burst BB rifle, but for now, My Crosman 1077 rules..!
I'm currently without a Steel Force again for the 6th time returning these poorly designed and flawed guns. After calling Umarex again and again, I finally spoke with someone who said it's the gear wheel that breaks and Umarex USA is are nothing more shipping center share with Walther firearms, that send out new guns that are under currently under warrenty. Also they don't carry spare parts and confessed the employees are not gun tech's. She claimed there are very few Steel Forces out there that have "not broke yet" as she was claiming only a matter of time before they do. Umarex Germany is aware of the problem and does nothing as of yet to fix this gear wheel flaw. BUYER BEWARE the chances your gun will prolly break but when u call them ask for Umarex to pay for your shipping ( as they did for me several time ) and be ready to have it break over and over again with no idea if they will ever fix this designer ongoing flaw of 3 years!
An excellent adittion for small pest control, or plinking; this gun exceeds the expectations.
Light weight polimer Body, steel barrel, and low profile fixed sights gives this weapon a durable, flexible performance.
The FPS vary some even exceed the 460 mark for single shot, it drops on burst fire but not too much, and with picattiny rails makes this a very adaptable platform for most plinking or varmint hunting. Don't forget to Add a sight, holo preferable, a grip with light, UTG brand and A laser light for added fun!
Pros: • Rapid Fire, 6 rounds per burst 30 bb per mag, 300 rounds inside the Inner Drum.
• 3 Picatinny Rails so 1 for the scope and 2 attachment.
• Retractible stock which equals 3 preferences: SMG, Carabine, Assault Rifle (considering length).
• Light weight and little to no recoil.
• Accurate most of the time
• there are ways to mod the gun to work full auto.
Cons: - consumes two Co2 cylinder per 200 to 300 shots.
- Needs lubrication some times as some firing mechanisms tend to get dry.
- Some users report leaks, some report inner pieces break.
- shoots stray bbs sometimes.
- you have to shake it to reload the 30 round clip, as there is no crank or motorized gears to feed the clip.
I like it even with its design flaws as not all of them are fixable and, people with little knowledge on gun smithing are able to fix it (Warning the gun Tends to spring apart if not opened carefully.)
Hope it helps!.
Well, mine worked right out of the box, (don't forget to fully seat the magazine and pull the charging handle) A load of fun for sure. Eats BB's and CO2 cartridges very quickly, good thing both are very reasonably priced these days (I remember my first C02 pistol, probably around 1988, there was no such thing as a 40 pack of cartridges for 20 bucks! It seems to be a full scale M-16 but with an 11" barrel (which I really dig) I think I'll finally pull the trigger on that SBR tax stamp and build my next AR exactly like this one. I've got boxes full of AR accessories that I've used on previous rifles, so mine got a tactical illuminator, a reflex sight, and a vertical foregrip and a tactical sling. I'll try to post a pic.
***UPDATE: The gun died. Just slowly died. First I needed to pull the charging handle back when switching from safe-semi, and from semi-6 round burst modes. Then it was after every burst, or every few semi shots. Finally it stopped firing all together. This seems to be a common problem. I haven't even had the gun for 90 days yet. I'll be contacting Umarex tomorrow. Let's see how they handle things. Maybe they'll earn an extra star for their responsiveness...
I've only just gotten back into the wonderful hobby of BB shooting and God above how it's changed!! Before I could only have dreamed about a gun like this!!
After 14 years in the Army I had grown quite accomplished at firing my M16 A1 and later the A2 and I missed it very much. So when I saw this gun I couldn't stop myself. I purchased mine through Red's Gear (5 stars for their service!) and the gun arrived early and in perfect condition. I read the manual and after deriving the basics set about putting some rounds downrange. The loading mechanism is simple and effective. The gun itself can hold up to 300 BBs but they begin to rattle about a bit as they diminish so I only loaded 28 at a time - two shy of the max the weapon can feed at one time. It feeds perfectly and at 6 round burst (the most amazing thing since sliced pizza) it polishes through those 30 rounds like a hot knife through butter. The only drawback to the 6 round burst is that it does eat CO2 like a ravenous dog on a porkchop but it's worth it! The first time I pulled that trigger back and felt it growl away I fell in love with this thing - a feeling NOT shared by my dog, lol.
The folding stock allows for 6 positions including fully extended and fully collapsed. I purchased a rubber butt cap for comfort which slipped on as though it were truly made for the gun.
My only criticism is a tiny one and specific to left handed shooters like myself. The rail system is set up for right handed shooters only. When I
removed the rail, on the right side of the gun, it was no more than plain plastic beneath. It would have been awesome if there were some details beneath so that I could have maintained the guns incredible look without that rail. Still, easy enough to make due.
I recommend this gun to anyone interested in a solid, albeit plastic, rifle.
One tip: I took a little flat black model paint and painted the mechanism used to secure the CO2 cartridges. You can BARELY notice them now. 5 second fix that adds significant realism to the gun.
I've included a picture of my first run through. 150 BBs fired on 6 round burst, and a picture of the underside of the magazine where I painted the CO2 cylinder locking mechanism.
BUY THIS GUN!
In love with it came so early I couldn't believe it I totally love this it's so much fun it's unbelievable thanks guys I'd tell anyone to buy this
If your a gun lover ! Get one ! I live in the uk and it was well worth the money and a weeks wait so pleased
Only had a little fun until it would stop shooting. The gun would start to have a delay on firing, so I thought it wouldn’t be much until it just stopped shooting. Really disappointed on wasting so much money for this , also because this is something I wouldn’t expect it to do.
Those fine, hard working elves @ UMAREX have produced an AIR WEAPON that will exceed your wildest dreams, Those of you that have a 'STEEL STORM" know the 'power'. This ALL plastic rifle will out do the storm in the areas of noise, ease of mounting scopes' hardware etc. (DAMN! There are so MANY variations available-this thing 'bristles' with
Such a 'clone' of the M-16/AR-15 I've had former Service members/gun owners that really feel this gun's simulation is so good that they being used @ home instead of the range saving lots on ammo.
If you're looking for that "FIRST" airgun this is it.
SUPPRESSOR - Made with a 4" POP-UP LAWN SPRINKLER CASING **-->(see the suppressor pix in my STEEL STORM review)<<**
+UPDATE+ Wlile doing some 'PM' on my Steel Force thought about trying the same suppression materials I adapted to my Steel Storm on the 'Force'. Cut the 5/8" grommet attached it to the bottom of the 'Force's barrel . With pressure and twisting at the same time the 4" pop up underground lawn sprinkler casing makes for a perfect fit! It really make this piece even more impressive (and of course quiets it)! Have pic's but it seems that Amazon won't let you post them. When this feature is up I'll share 'em. Snip
**SORRY! DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ON MY END I CAN'T DOWNLOAD THE PIC.--STAY SPOONED!

UPDATE: This wonder gun DIED on me! To the Month--- April 2013-April 2015! TWO years! ---Those who bitch about the quality of these guns must be cursed! Realize this: After the 2 years of use I have LOTS of empty BB Containers,-- well OVER 10 ..., @ 6,000 per bottle. Got to be that thru its 'brief' life I fired over a whopping 60,000+ shots!
Purchase price of this weapon came to about $45 bucks a year!
Yep, sure scored another.......!!
Great rifle I'm really fun to carry and shoot products came as advertised and was shipped and delivered within a week I immediately mounted a red dot scope and I've been hitting targets at 30 yrdz dead to rights. I still have about 35 CO2 cartridges left but I will buy the bulk air system as unlimited maximum velocity sounds like a blast. Also the Bull air is enticing due to the known fact that the CO2 cartridges get cold when shot rapidly especially burst mode this diminishing velocity. reports of people using 20 pound bottles are shooting for hours upon hours on burst mode with no drop and velocity. This gun is great for mounting on the wall it's great for getting used to handling an AR and it's insanely addictive to shoot. I also mounted a flashlight on the right side of the quad rail system as well as a fore grip and the single point sling adapter good to go
[[VIDEOID:b21bd08943b82749acc11856086d4cb4]] I bought this gun off of eBay so this technically qualifies as a buyer's product review.
Wow this gun is amazing. It packs so much power for such a low price. This gun shoots 4.5mm steel BBs not airsoft BBs. It's also powered by CO2 and has an internal blowback system which is super-cool. Great for plinking and makes an awesome movie prop. Just shoot blanks and add the muzzle flash effects in post. Very solid feel, although it's plastic. Could be better quality plastic, for sure, but still solid nonetheless. Haven't had any problems.
- Super fun to shoot. Semi-auto and 6-round burst! Sounds awesome too!
- Plenty of rail space to mount your favorite accesories
- AR-15 styled. Looks mucho-tactical
- 300 BB hopper and 30 round "mag"
- Plastic could be better. But still, solid build
- If you shoot too fast it chills the CO2 so performance slightly decreases
- Pop-up sights are a joke. Non-adjustable
- No sling mounts. There's one on the stock but you'll have to buy a sling adapter
- LOUD. If you have paranoid neighbors this could be a problem. Luckily, Madbull makes a mock surpressor that will fit called the Gemtech HALO.
Overall, for $100 bucks you can't go wrong with this gun! I'm knocking off one star because of the build quality but if it was a little better ABS or polymer I'd definitely give it a 5-star review!
Update: 1-13-2018 I recently purchased a 32 year old RWS Diana model 45. I has caused me to rerate all my break action air rifles.
Update: 8-19-2017 I have found the pellet that this rifle likes the most. It is the H&N Baracuda 21.14 domed pellet.[[ASIN:B002HGZO9W H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains (200 Count)]] The ones in the can I bought are actually slightly more "pointy" than the picture on the can. They shoot a little better that the barracuda match pellets at least in my rifle. I can hit a 1/2 inch dot 18 out of 20 times at 10 meters shooting off a sandbag front rest. This rifle like many magnum springers has considerable recoil and spring torque and requires lot of skill and practice to achieve these results. My rifle performs poorly with normal weight 14 gr pellets of every configuration. I recommend this rifle only for highly experienced air gunners who are willing to take the considerable effort to finding the right pellet. If you want to shoot cheap Crossman pellets from Wal-Mart, you need a different rifle. If you don't mind spending the money on premium heavy pellets and want to put large chunks of lead down range accurately, this is a tool that will get the job done. If this is your first springer, you are going to have to do some work to get and spend some money on pellets to get good results.
I mounted a better scope [[ASIN:B018J41Q0G Hatsan Optima 3-9x40 AO Mil-Dot Pellet Rifle Scope with Scope Mounts]] and I am getting pretty good results using heavy H&N pellets. The 18.21 grain crow magnums punch nice clean holes [[ASIN:B003008DJ2 H&N Crow Magnum Hollowpoint Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 18.21 Grains (200 Count)]]and the 21.14 grain H&N Baracuda Match pellets shoot rather well. [[ASIN:B0035KH2SK H&N Baracuda Match Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains (200 Count)]] The crow magnums seem to put Raccoons to sleep rather well.
I have not yet found a pellet that the rifle has fallen in love with. My 22 does not match the accuracy of the .177 cal. that I repaired for my neighbor. [[ASIN:B004DO68KU Umarex Ruger Air Magnum Break Barrel .177 Pellet Airgun Rifle w/ 4x32 Scope]] it will not hit a 1/2 inch circle at 10 meters every time like some of my other break action rifles will. If anyone has a pellet recommendation please comment. Thank you
Disclaimer: I am an air rifle nut. I now have 19 of them, 13 of them break barrels. Benjamin-3, Beeman-1, Crossman 1, Daisy 2, Gamo-1, Hatsan-7, Remington-2, Ruger-2. Learning and making friends with the dynamics of a magnum springer is something I find very satisfying. It takes some effort but is rewarding.
I straightened the barrel on my neighbors old rusty barn stored Ruger 177 Air Magnum. Great trigger. Long story. Wrote a review. It now shoots one hole 5 shot groups at 1050 FPS. I was impressed. I ordered the 22 cal. version. I have a 177 Ruger Blackhawk made by the same company, very nice rifle that is a tack driver. My magnum arrived today. I cleaned the barrel and touched off 6 shots outside before it stopped dieseling. I went to the basement and shot 20 pellets with iron sights thru the crono. As expected the velocities started settling down. I then mounted an old scope that is nothing special but in my experience far better than the supplied 4 x 32's that come with these rifles. I ran another 40 pellets thru the crono, 3 different varieties. The results are very good. I am old and don't shoot that well. A decent AO lens scope would cut these groups in half. This is a very nice rifle. Fit and finish are good. It is almost as powerful and accurate as my Hatsan 125's, I expect it will get better with more use, they normally do.
Until now I have not experienced this level of value in a magnum air rifle at this price point. The trigger is pretty nice also. My Range is rather crude. These targets were shot off a bag.
It is big and heavy and powerful and accurate. What is not to like? Perhaps the scope mount rail? The old 177 I fixed had the very long weaver base welded to the receiver. My new one is taller, much shorter and is clamped on. I like the old one much better. The photo of the rifle in the Amazon listing is the one I thought I was getting. My picture showing the scope is what I got. Hmmmmm? The last 2 pic's are the 17 cal that I fixed for my neighbor, with longer/lower scope rail.
Not bad for the money. Sorry my favorite is on the bottom and won't let me post a review.
This is the big daddy, all decked out. First get rid of the scope. I put a NcStar 3x9-50E Mil Dot Patriot series scope with UTG quick release high profile 3 screw mounts. This scope has a life time warranty and is made to withstand the double recoil. I also put a Red laser, tactical LED light, and a bi-pod on it.
The gun works perfect, accurate with RWS Super dome pellets. If you don't like a heavy, loud (sounds like a 22 rim fire) heavy cocking pellet gun, don't buy the Air Magnum. The Ruger Air Magnum is a real mans rifle, not for wimps.
I highly recommend this gun. Manufactured for Ruger by UMARMEX USA.
The steel storm is impressive, even though it's not metal. It functions well. I bought a combination green daytime laser / flashlight for the top. There is no need for a scope when it's made to be fired from the waist like John Wayne.
In My Top 3 Favorite BB Machine Pistols With remote tank setup. You really can make it rain steel with tthe UMAREX Steel Storm.
Shoots well with the 2x12g Co2 setup. This is a loud shooter. I made a Baffle out of an empty 12gram Co2 cut the ends off drill some holes.
Really works well to quiet this beast down, Over the Inner Baffle is an inexpensive PVC extention,
Super Quiet with double wall holes drilled thru inner tube.
I added an UTG Ergo ForeGrip, UTG Tactical Laser, UTG 30mm Green/Red Dot Sight, and Remote Tank Adapter.
I love this gun. It has a lot of weaver rails, and is very easy to add a few accessories to make it look just like the new H&K MP7... the only thing missing is the telescopic buttstock.... But with a foregrip, a homemade PVC pipe barrel extension, and a few other accessories like a red dot scope and a tac light, it looks just like a HK MP7. Please check out this pic of mine after adding the mentioned accessories onto the weaver rails and making a mock supressor/barrel extension for it; It looks great in this picture at the link here you can see my personalized one, it was very easy to make it look like....
GOTO YOUTUBE and enter these words exactly into the search box on youtube and you will see how cool you can make this gun look; Enter "Umarex Steel Storm barrel extension & silencer, & other mods" into youtube search box without the quotation marks and the very first result will show you my gun's video from my channel named "perryinjax". (There may be ONE video before mine in the results that is an ad or "Promoted" video.
Just watch the one named "Umarex Steel Storm with Mods" on Perryinjax channel, you will see how easily you can make this gun look awesome.
(short video, easy to watch it quick, check it out)
It is easy to convert to full auto of you prefer it over the six round burst. There are many videos on YouTube that show you how to make the full auto conversion on this model, but I prefer to keep it with only the two options of single shot or six round burst. because I am afraid if I change the six round burst to full auto, it will eat up more CO2 cartridges than it already does. The hopper holds 300 bbs and the chamber holds 30 at a time, but you will be changing out the spent CO2 cartridges by the time you shoot up those 300 bbs in six round burst mode.
Be prepared to buy CO2 cartridges by the crate load of you plan to do a lot of shooting. But that says nothing about the gun, it is just the nature of the beast, all CO2 guns.. This one takes them two at a time.
It is VERY accurate, and I was astonished how well it shoots so accurately even in six round burst mode, I was expecting them to spit out all random like, but no, they are almost as accurate as single shot mode, which can hit the bullseye every time at 15 yards with a decent red dot scope or laser sight. Both of which I have added onto the many weaver rails that come stock on the gun. It is by far the best quality and looks for the price.. I would think it should cost twice what it does.
You will be very pleased with the accuracy and also the looks, once you get it accessorized with a few things to clamp onto all those weaver rails, I have got mine looking like a clone of the new HK MP7 and it looks awesome.
This item is thee BEST bb pistol I've ever owned.
So far.. Great accuracy at 75 feet.! Bad ass.
Update: I've had this 2 weeks and shot over 2000 rounds thru it without so much as a hiccup. So far it's been very reliable and a great platform for mods.
Pierce the co2 cartridges fully and run pellgunoil or silicone oil thru it liberally and it will not disappoint. So far my mods are foregrip w/bipod, reflex sight, removable 4-position stock, and I found an mp7 holster that's pretty dope. All these were bought on Amazon except for the stock which was an eBay takeoff from a broken airsoft mp7.
6 round bursts are no joke. The rate of fire is very high for those 6 quick shots. This thing is actually really loud, but apparently pvc pipe silencers are very easy to make and highly effective... So I've heard.
I bought 2 of these and not of them broke the spring that loads the BBS is a bad dezine
Haven’t had any problems yet, and the sight makes it pretty accurate
