    5 stars

I bought this for my 16 month old nephew. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. This book is extremely durable. It’s been dropped, flug, sat on, carried around by its pages, etc, and it still works great. Excellent learning tool. You just touch the picture and it tells you what it is, in ENGLISH &/or SPANISH!!!

    Must have!!!

    Love it

    5 stars

We love how educational and fun it is.

    Love it Love it

    Granddaughter loves it...would recommend this..

    Great gift for toddlers

By far one of the best learning toys I’ve purchased for my 16 month old son. Yes the buttons are sensitive but I’d rather have that then buttons he has to pound on. We take this book everywhere we go! And it speaks Spanish! I have a hard time finding bilingual toys and this one is awesome. I like that it has three levels to pick from so he doesn’t get bored. My only complaint would be some of the noises are not what I would have chosen lol but hey- it’s a toy

Just an FYI people; the one star review that says it needs a computer is wrong! This does NOT require any computer hook up whatsoever. Batteries only.

Perfect for home and on the go!

This product was purchased for my son off the shopping list I made for him. It works, but on the first "pets" page, two of the animals are wrong. For instance, when the hen is pushed, the voice states that it is a frog. When the guinea pig is pushed, it states it's a lizard. It is confusing for a young learner. I assume some old parts got mixed with newer models and this is a fluke. Since it was purchased from someone else, I don't have the option to return it through Amazon. Very frustrating!

    Incorrect Pictures/Words

Not sure why one lady thinks this needs a computer hookup- it doesn’t. Great toddler toy!

    Great for toddlers!

  1. The magic scooper scoops up the ice cream and toppings to create tasty-looking combinations while introducing the colors and flavors of four ice cream scoops and three toppings
  2. Build memory and sequencing skills by choosing from six cute animal order cards and following the instructions
  3. Count to ten along with the ice cream cart by pressing the syrup pump or coin button
  4. Playful phrases introduce colors, numbers, flavors and more while you explore the six activity cards
  5. Push the cart around to build gross motor skills while listening to upbeat songs and music
  6. I personally think this is one of the best toys of 2017!! We ordered this with a birthday gift card my daughter received and she absolutely loves it! She is 2, and just loves serving us ice cream. It took her only a few times to get the hang of the scoop and release and it’s so fun for her to choose different combinations for us all. The pump for “syrup” is cute too, although she thinks it’s a soap dispenser. Haha. But seriously, such a great toy and great for teaching following directions, colors, and numbers!

I personally think this is one of the best toys of 2017

Smaller than expected but still serves it purpose! She loves that she can push / pull it around and loving serving us ice cream. The magnet scoop knows which one she picks up and the pump count how many pumps of syrup she uses. It’s just a great toy! Very pleased! She absolutely loves it and has been playing with it all the time

    Cute and lots of learning!

This toy is so adorable and fun! Our 11 month old and 2 year old got it for Christmas. Great investment! Especially if your kids love real ice cream haha I love how it's easy to pull around and move as well!

Adorable and fun! Adorable and fun! Adorable and fun! Adorable and fun!

huge hit for christmas and again for my nieces birthday! Both my daughter and my niece love this toy and play with it everyday. Very interactive toy with helping learn colors and counting too!

huge hit for birthday girl! Loves this toy and ... huge hit for birthday girl! Loves this toy and ...

    Fantastic buy!

    5 stars

I can’t say enough good things about this. I had no idea what to expect. My 2 year old and 3 year old are obsessed with it! The features are so neat and really help build their comprehension skills, colors, counting and allows them to use their imagination with playtime. It’s such a great learning toy! It’s excellent quality, as well. I would definitely buy it again. And the price was great too!

    Fantastic buy! Fantastic buy!

    Amazing!!!!

    5 stars

Amazing, just buy it! I bought this for my one-year-old, although it seems like it's more appropriate for 2-3yo. The reasoning, it's because the cards are like recipes, and the scoop can tell what ice cream color you pick up and what topping you put on the ice cream. For example it says "vanilla ice cream with strawberry topping yum" so cool!!!! My daughter loves it! Everything came in perfect condition.

    Amazing!!!!

So cute and so much fun. I bought for my daughters 1st birthday but her 2 and 4 year old brothers have taken over. Great for their ages as well. It does stop easily when being pushed, thought would be a little More sturdy for the baby to push. Pink sign comes off very easily as well but not huge deal, we just keep
Off when the baby is playing so doesn’t fall on her.

    Cute but tips easily.

    This was a win!

    5 stars

This was the one gift I had to have for my daughter .I put this together as a gift for Christmas for my daughter since my son will be getting a tricycle that will be unwrapped. They have both been obsessed with it . My son keeps making the cones and bringing them to me saying yum yum yum . Haha . I need to put it up and away until Christmas but it is so sweet seeing them play together and happy. My son is right at the age where he is picking up words a lot more . I love these interactive toys that are teaching while having fun.

This was a win! This was a win!

We LOVE this!!! My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and literally plays with this every single day for the past 6 months. Keeping all the pieces together is a daily task but this is so so cute and fun! The scooper really “scoops” the ice cream and all the pieces fit together very well so you don’t have to worry about the scoops falling off the cone continuously. This was a great purchase!

*it comes with 2 of each “flavor” only one of each is included in my pic*

So cute! Need more toys like this!

  6. My son who just turned 4 loves his new LeapPad Ultimate tablet. It was very easy to set up out of the box, thankfully it even had about half a battery charge from out of the box so I could set it up and let my son play. The camera is bad, but for a kid who doesn't realize and may take 100 pictures of the same thing it works just fine. It even has selfie mode on the camera. From a tech standpoint it's very basic, easy to use, especially for young kids. The keyboard has a glare and it's cumbersome, but the attached stylus makes it easier to type on. It's good for little fingers. The tablet comes with many basic apps- calculator, camera, calendar, games, etc. One can purchase additional apps for the tablet too. The games it comes with are nothing special, but if your 3 years old you think it's great. I like the included flash card app for learning. For more learning and fun one can purchase additional LeapPad cartridges which feature Disney characters/TV characters in games, educational, music, art/creativity, and many different supplemental applications to use on this LeapPad. Which makes it better able to adapt as the child grows and interest change. It's a shatterproof screen, great for young kids and the stylus is attached by a string-otherwise we would have lost it the first day. I do recommend this tablet for Pre-K age kiddos, my 4 year old loves it!

  8. Save your money and buy the old version on EBAY! I always read Amazon reviews before I purchase items, unless I am making a repeat purchase. When I bought this Leap Frog "My Own Leaptop" in June, 2017, I realized it was a newer version than the one I purchased in 2012, but I figured they would have simply made improvements upon the old model. Wow was I mistaken! I should have read the recent reviews by parents like myself who know how fantastic the old version of this toy is and how the new version pales in comparison. Don't waste your money on a new one. For the same price or less you can buy a vastly superior, used old version on EBAY (see what the old version looks like in my review photos). This is what I did and I will be returning the new model. We debated saving the $6 in return shipping cost to give the new version we bought to someone else as a gift, but decided we cannot in good conscience give an inferior toy to a friend. The old version requires that you download LeapFrog Connect software and connect the Leaptop to your computer. To do this you must have the LeapFrog "My Own Leaptop" USB connector cable (see last photo), internet access, a USB port, and Adobe Flash software (an easy, free download that the LeapFrog software prompts you to download if you don't have it). I still had my cable from the Leaptop I purchased five years ago so I didn't need to make sure the used one I purchased from EBAY had it. I bought the used leaptop shown in the photos for $8 with free shipping and no cable. It arrived today and with new batteries and my old cable I was able to reprogram each of the customizable features and now it's perfect! Below is a comparison of the personalized features of the old version and comparable features of the new version.

    Old Version:
    - Upon turning it on it says, "Hi [says your child's name]!"
    - You can select one "sing along" song, and five melody songs for it to play, and it also plays a song spelling out your child's name
    - When you push the "blog" button, it reads a blog entry and then asks your child [by name] about their day
    - You can personalize three "email" messages by selecting text from a dropdown menu (you cannot type your own message) and entering the sender (e.g., "Grandma" or "Betsy"). The result is an interaction like this:
"You have an email from Mommy [or whomever you program in]. Let's read it! Dear [says your child's name], I love you so much [the message I chose]. Love, Mommy. Let's reply! Dear Mommy, I love you too. Love, [says your child's name]". So it simply reads an auto-generated "reply" and says it is from your child, rather than prompting them to "type a reply." The Leaptop also periodically prompts your child to push the email button, by asking, "Have you checked your email?"
    - In the alphabet mode when your child pushes the first letter of their name it will switch between one of two results. One result is this announcement: "[First it names the letter.] That's the first letter of your name [says child's name]. Let's celebrate your letter! [Then it plays a fun little jingle.]" The second result is an announcement naming the letter, saying what sound it makes, naming the letter again and saying an animal that starts with that letter.

    New Version:
    - Upon turning it on it says, "Hi."
    - You cannot select songs. You get what it comes with.
    - There are no blog entries.
    - When you select the "Messages" setting it literally says something like this:
"I have a message for you. Message: I spent all day... What's your favorite [game/place]?"
or "You have an email from me. Let's read it. Hi. Writing emails to you makes me happy. Love, [Scout or Violet, depending on whether you have the boy or girl version] Let's reply. Push the letter buttons to write your reply, then push the paw pad." When you do as instructed it says out loud each letter you push, and then says, "Well done," but that's it. So you could push, "JWZL," for example, and push the paw pad and that would be your email. It doesn't read the reply you type (which makes sense since most children will push letters randomly).
    - There are no blog entries.
    - In the alphabet mode when your child pushes the first letter of their name it will switch between one of two results. One result is this announcement: "[First it names the letter.] That's the first letter of your name [it shows child's name on screen, but does not say it]. Let's spell it! [Then it spells your child's name.]" The second result is an announcement naming the letter, saying what sound it makes, naming the letter again and saying an animal that starts with that letter.

We gave the Leaptop we purchased in 2012 to our son when he was 18 months old. He is now 6 and he still loves to play with it. Our daughter who is about to turn 3 enjoys playing with her brother's Leaptop so much we finally decided we should get her one of her own (hence our purchase and return of a new version on Amazon, and a satisfying purchase of a used old version on EBAY). Reasons why we like the old version follow. Both of our children really like singing and dancing to the music and playing at receiving and writing emails. They also get very excited about the blog entries. Neither one of them has ever been too enamored by the facts about animals (although they both are very interested in animals in general), with the exception of a few favorites. I do think the letter sounds have been valuable from an education standpoint for both of our children. The main reason our children, and in turn we ourselves, like the old version of this toy so much is because it engages them directly by name so frequently through the alphabet, music, email and blog modes. The new version simply acknowledges the first letter of their name and the spelling of their name, but never actually says their name. This makes it so much less personally engaging and since younger children do not always know how to spell their names, the new version may as well not be personalized at all for them since it never actually states their name. We brought our 2012 Leaptop every time we traveled with our son from about age 18 months to 3 years. His interest waned enough after that that we no longer brought it on travels, but it remains a much beloved toy for home use to this day. We are extremely confident that the used old version of the Leaptop we just bought our daughter is sure to be her new favorite toy.

I hope this review is helpful to parents considering buying a Leaptop. I cannot recommend the old version enough and I'm grateful there are people selling quite a few of them on EBAY. Just keep in mind to look for one that indicates it has been tested and is in good working order, and that it includes the cable if you don't have one already.

Buy the old version on EBAY because it's vastly superior to this new model! Buy the old version on EBAY because it's vastly superior to this new model!

Our two year old son loves this "computer." It has really helped his speech immensely. Since this arrived he can identify several letters and their sounds. It's perfect for independent play time or when Mommy and Daddy are working on their computers as well (we work from home).

    So happy we purchased this.

I got this for my 3 year old and he loves it! It helps with his Abc's, counting, and associating letters with sounds. My son especially loves where he can just type the letters on the screen. My only dislike is that the screen is dark and fairly small. I have a hard time seeing what's on the screen, even with trying to tilt it to the ideal angle.

    3 year old loves it

    So cute

    5 stars

this is such a cute little laptop! My 2 year old loves to use it when my husband is doing his work on his computer at home. I recommend this for sure!

    So cute

Great laptop, great sound and easy to carry all over. Only thing that's a downside is the dark screen. Wish it would light up.

Still a good, educational toy for at home or car :)

Great laptop, great sound and easy to carry all ...

Mine came with a deep scratch across the screen. It's for a gift and I dont have time to return and order another one. Will update on how it works after Christmas.

    Scratched screen on arrival.

It's a very cute idea, but the screen is extremely difficult to see and after a bit the screen stops working. The toy is not as interactive as I had hoped, and is geared more to 3 plus year olds.

    Was hoping for more

Much nicer than the Fisher Price one. I couldn't be more pleased. Adding a picture of my granddaughter enjoying it at only 5 months old. You can't see the basket in this Christmas morning photo, but you can see some of the pieces and how she is enjoying it with her brother looking on.

    Better than Fisher Price

I got this for my 2 year old for Christmas. I bought it here on Amazon and got it for a great deal. It's really a cute toy. There are 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 big forks and 6 shapes of food (3 for each plate). The picnic basket sings little songs and will teach them shapes. I don't understand why my daughter hardly ever plays with it though. Maybe she's too young for it. But I really don't have any complaints. It's a well constructed, safe toy.

    Cute picnic basket toy!

I was going to order the fisher price picnic basket for my baby back at Christmas time even though I had not seen it in person but this one ended up going on sale so I purchased it instead. I'm glad I did now that I've seen the other one in person. This one is large and has much more going on. She loves pulling out all the stuff and chewing on the foods (she's only 9 months). I can see her using this in the future since the basket is bigger and maybe having some educational value then. I have caught her putting the pieces in the right spots on the plate already though (circle, triangle, square).

Order this instead of the fisher price one!

So adorable my niece will love it, It has all the 14-pieces shown, helps children build motor skills and its so cute for them to learn the shapes and colors and play Picnic all at the same time. Keeps my nieces highly entertained. LeapFrog as the most educational and Fun toys for kids.

    So cute

this is such a cute little laptop!

I liked the fact that you can assemble it at a breeze, and adjust it based on your child’s development. However, I just didn’t like the toy phone that is attached to the walker. As you can see from the picture, my baby have almost peeled off the sticker or the printout from the phone, and I have to take it away from him as he is teething and he loves to put everything in his mouth.

Other than that, everything looks good with the walker itself.

[[VIDEOID:a8db07887b7a7922c5e8d2057fc70226]] This activity panel can be used flat on the floor or attached to wheels. When attached to the wheels, the activity panel can be rotated to either dangle over a baby lying on their back or so a toddler can use it standing or as a walker. You can adjust how freely the wheels move, either slow or fast depending on how competent the child is at walking. The panel has a variety of things: a door to open and close, things to rotate that also rattle, gears, a mirror, a book panel to flip back and forth, and piano keys to touch for sounds or music. You can choose a setting for music, a setting for phrases, or a walking setting. (Requires 2 AA batteries, which were included.) We are using this with a baby lying on their back, and we have removed the phone from reach because it comes (falls) off so easily. The phone is basically a rattle.

The activity panel is 14" wide x 13.5" tall (or 16" if you include the handle). The handle is 9" wide. The wheel assembly measures 20" from front to back (wheel to wheel direction) and 15.5" from the floor to the top (just above the screw). They say to rotate the screws until you hear a click, however I screwed them as tight as I reasonably could and never heard a click. This makes me nervous that they are not on tight enough, and I'll probably ask a man to tighten them when we are using it as a walker. You press a button to release the screw lock so you can unscrew and adjust the angle of the activity panel. Overall, this seems like a nice activity panel. I don't know how effective it is as a walker yet.

My son is 5.5 months old, he hasn’t reached the stage where he can use it as a walker yet but he loves laying under it and now that he can sit well he loves sitting in front of it and playing with it, it has many different things to play with so something is always catching his attention, plus it has lights and music which he loves. I like that you can turn it so they can use it at different ages, lying down, sitting, or standing

  6. I love this product. I bought this for my 4 yr old because I want to introduce her to time and she loves my Fitbit.

The watch component is great. It shows both analog and digital on separate screens. It also speaks the time to help children learn to tell time.

It is also an activity tracker. The child wears it and it tracks their movement. The more they move the more avatars they unlock. The child can then play with the avatar much like a little pet on their wrist.

In addition, it encourages movement by randomly tell the child to move around or having them do challenges like hopping like a kangaroo.

As a parent, you can set quiet time for school and bedtime. You can also put the watch into quiet mode manually which stops it from talking or allowing the child to play with it but it still shows the time.

The charge lasts at least a day. I plug it in at night.

Perfect first watch for 4 yr old!

We homeschool, so we're always looking for ways to keep moving and opportunities for exercise. My daughter is 6 (will be 7 in February), and I was a little concerned that this product would be young for her. However, she kept seeing the commercial and REALLY wanted one. Now, she (and I) both love it. She's become obsessed with making sure she's moving enough (the leap awards the kid and their virtual pet with powers and levels up, etc). If she hasn't moved for a while, the LeapBand will remind her by giving her fun things to do. (And she does them!)

I would've given this five stars, but there are two things I think Leap may want to consider for the next generation of product:
-The band is pretty rigid and it is also on the smaller side. My daughter (at 6 almost 7) is wearing it on the last hole.

-Most kids today are used to working with touch screens. My daughter kept trying to use the screen to control options.

As a parent who has tried out a wide variety of kid-friendly technology, I think this is definitely worth the price. Happy mom and happy kid!

It is not working! I have tried to charge and it is still not coming on. There is no instruction on how long to charge it before it lights up. The straps are hard and fixed, it is not flexible.

    NOT WORKING

I got this two years ago (10/2014) for my 3 boys (aged 3, 6, and 9 at the time). All 3 of them liked this LeapBand. My oldest son was in charge of teaching the two younger ones how to use it and take care of it. I would hook it up to my computer every night to charge the battery (it comes with the rechargeable battery already installed), sync their rewards, and add more challenges. I love being able to set the band to lock during bed time hours and school hours. If they try to play with it during those hours, all they will see is a monkey clock and a locked symbol. This product is basically a wearable version of a Tamagotchi (a virtual pet toy from the 90s). It teaches them to be responsible for their pet pals (they earn up to 8 pets through play). However, unlike a Tamagotchi, this band has way better graphics and the added benefit of teaching them healthy food habits, gross motor skills, and health/hygiene habits. It is full of short activities that get them up and moving and using their imaginations such as "Swim to something blue", "Hop on one foot. Don't stop! Switch! Hop on the other foot.", and "Pretend to have a bow and arrow.". Really cool note is that it has a water-resistant design so if the child gets all sweaty it will not be damaged which is awesome. The only app available for this band is the Petathlon App. It allows you to link the childs pets to his/her LeapPad Ultra, a smartphone, and/or tablets to earn extra rewards. My son said it would be nice if it had a music app as well, but overall they are were very happy with this product. My oldest child no longer plays with the band and my middle child rarely does as well; it is now mostly just for the youngest child. However, he does not play with it as often as he used to either. I would also like to point out that this is not the most comfortable band to be wearing. It is constricting and uncomfortable. My children would rather hold it than wear it.

They are actually learning from it and aside from my more destructive twin occasionally still throwing the letters, actually playing with it. I recommend it if you have a child over the age of 2!

Great for learning! Great for learning!

I purchased these magnets to go along with a magnet board I made for my son's 2nd birthday. Placing a letter into the bus plays a catchy little phonics song (the same song from the letter factory if you're familiar with that DVD). The bus also has a music button that plays the ABC song and Wheels On the Bus, both of which my toddler loves shaking his hips to. I've attached a photo of this magnet set on an oil drip pan I purchased from Walmart for $9. This is a great addition to his playroom that's going to make learning ABC's a lot of fun!

    Missing pieces

    1 stars

looks like it would be a great toy. We were sent duplicates of several letters and were missing several others. Package was hard to get into and had to tear it apart only to find out we were missing pieces... Now I have nothing left to return it in. Disappointed my daughter won't be able to use it as we had hoped.

    Missing pieces

I have been looking for a new leapfrog phonetics bus for over a year now. They must be discontinuing or something because Target and walmart both stopped selling. I have been waiting to purchase off amazon until the price went down. I got the bus for $15 and some change so that's better than the $20 it was at one point. We had another one that only lasted a year but that was not the fault of the quality of this toy. Not much can stand up to my (then) 1.5 year old who took this bus through a car wash in the dog's water bowl. I had let it dry out and it worked off and on for about 2 more weeks then died. It was a favorite so I knew when I had my next baby that she too needed to play with it. When it arrived, my son (now almost 4) remembered the bus and the songs, they are fun and catchy. We had saved all the letters from the old one and they all work with the newly purchased bus, so extremely happy that they didn't change a thing about this toy.

Both kids love the bus and songs, great buy

Great product. A nice independent learning activity for my three year old.

When it came in the mail you could hear it in the box. This was extra exciting. My LO wasn’t expecting a toy and he knew it was for him based on what he heard.

The bus is engaging and fun.
The bus states the letter, the sound it makes and words that begin with that letter.

We put ours on an old baking sheet so it can easily be moved from room to room. I encourage my LO to repeat the name of the letter and use his f Get to trace the letter.

    Fun, engaging and independent learning

I had the old one with scout in it and couldn’t find it on amazon so I got my toodler this one. It’s still the same.

    Very educational toy.

Invested in this product 12 years ago with my first child and it helped her with her letters and alphabet so much I decided to buy it again with my second child. He can't get enough of it. He absolutely loves it.

    Great for toddler learning

This is a family favorite! I bought this at the recommendation of multiple family members. This is a Christmas gift for my two year old nephew. Like any toddler, I think he will enjoy the sounds and music, and I think he will like being able to play with it at the refrigerator. Great gift for a toddler!

    waste of money

My son loves this remote! He especially loves the 1-2-3 song and shape song. It's a great teether for him, too. He has dropped it more times than I care to remember and it still works great. The top section lights up when a song is playing or an I spy type of game is going on.
There's a button for a weather update, a button for an I spy a shape type of game, a button for tunes of children's songs. I should mention that the "button" section is a large sticker for that whole bottom section. I wasn't crazy about that in the beginning but now I appreciate the different texture it gives my son to experience.
Overall, I am really happy with this control.

  6. I’ve had one of these with all 4 of my children going back 15 years. Since our most recent little guy was a total shock we had gotten rid of all of our old baby items but replacing this was a must! This was a favorite of every one of my kids from 6 months till long after they should’ve outgrown it and I couldn’t have been more pleased with it! It can be used sitting without the legs as they pop off easily or use it as a table where they pull up and play. Mine all liked to stuff their little puff snacks in the cubbies with the door that says “open, close”. I love that it has two modes, music and learning and you don’t need to flip a switch, just flip the page on the book so baby can change it himself or go back and forth like all of mine did. I buy this as a gift for everyone I know having a baby and I’ve yet to meet a mom who doesn’t love this as much as I do! 5 Stars, a must buy... seriously, you won’t regret it!

4 kids over 15 years and it kept working and being a favorite for all 4!

My 7 month old absolutely loves standing so I looked for toys that would allow him do so. He LOVES this table!

    Pros:
    1) Lots and lots of songs & music
    2) The legs are removable so young babies can start playing with it on the ground
    3) My 7 month old is able to do all the activities (turn the book page, press the buttons, pull the levers, open the little door, etc.) and he loves doing it!
    4) Helps babies strengthen their leg muscles, keep their balance and teaches them to cruise around the table

    Cons:
    1) Very light weight and will slide if my baby leans onto it too much which is very unsafe!
    2) It will also tip over if he tries to pull up on it into standing. It would be great if he could also practice pulling up to standing with this toy.

A must for little ones who love standing!!

I really wanted to like this activity table so I gave it a few days but I wasn't pleased and neither was my son. For the price, I had expected a little bit more on at least the activity level.

    1) The "book" is just "1" page so don't raise your hopes up that your lo is going to flip over more than one page. This was very annoying to my 8month old who was always attempting to flip another page each time he tried playing with this.
    2) The sound is not as friendly as that of most other toys and that makes my lo cry each time so even when he tries to play with it he does so turned off.
    3) It is not sturdy.

Sounds scared my son and not much activity on the table

This was the hit of Christmas. My brother and sister in law also love that when they’re ready to pull their hair out over hearing the ABCs in either Spanish or English, they swap it over to the music side. A total hit, as the photo shows. My adorable nephew, while he’s never in a bad mood, is also the judgiest (sp?) human alive, so for him to be this enthralled says a LOT. He even preferred this to eating tissue paper, which, at 9 months, is a true feat.

The teacher in me also feels like the absolute MVP and that I am buying my nephew presents to help mold the next Einstein.

    The winning gift of Christmas.

    Awesome!

[[VIDEOID:8c21861f662b48eef9c1b16468d02e71]] My 10 month old son loves it! Sound is not too loud. Sturdy, but will slide on wooden floor, that's why I brought it into the room with carpet. The legs comes off so easily. I wish it had as many buttons as its competitor, fisherprice, on the left side of the picture.

    Awesome!

Really fun features on this play table, which my son has loved from age 8mo to now at nearly 11mo! There’s a center “book” with a “page” you can flip to totally change the sounds that the table makes. On one page, the buttons on the table mostly play music; on the other page, the buttons play words and sounds. The downside of this table is it doesn’t stay up super well with stronger babies, but I wedged ours in a corner and that has helped :)

Really fun for babies under 1! (And probably over 1, too)

We had this same table, in a previous version, about 10 years ago for our older children. We bought it for our newer baby for Christmas. It's the same quality toy we loved for our other children. I highly recommend it!

    A favorite trusted product!

My 12 month old loves her Leapfrog Learn and Groove Musical Table that she received for her first birthday! So many fun options! I love that it can sit on the ground if she wants to sit and play, or use the legs and she can stand and walk around the table. The music mode keeps her very entertained with lots of fun songs, and we love switching to the learning mode with just a flip of the book's page.

    Lots of fun!

Haven’t opened it yet but was disappointed in its damaged package. This is supposed to be a Christmas present.

My 12 month old LOVES this toy. I did not expect it, but she carries this thing around everywhere :)

    She loves it

This little cutie loves her play phone and she is 18 months. I'm the grandma and since her brother got a leapfrog tablet for his 3rd birthday, I knew that she would be jealous and needed something to hold that was easier for her little fingers. Mom says she loves it! Score a win for grandma!

Toddler loves this-Perfect for Car Rides!

My daughter got the Scout Plush a while back so we picked up the phone now that she is older (she still falls asleep with the plush every night). This is one little tough phone with a lot of fun learning animations for each number and other fun functions. My daughter like most kids love have whatever mommy has. It was great to pick up a phone that somewhat realistic looking and also has the learning done right for my little one. Ruff ruff!!!

We love how educational and fun it is.

  1. Lights up in 6 magical colors and plays 7 tea-time songs. Brew up learning fun with this pretend play teapot that teaches colors, counting, matching, manners and more. Includes musical rainbow tea party and 3 AAA batteries.
  2. Kids can host a tea party, hear tea gurgling and see it slosh realistically through the teapot’s heart-shaped window. Teapot lights up in 6 colors to teach color names, and plays 7 songs. Tip, sip and share tea with friends in two cups.
  3. Practice motor skills serving and sharing 6 cake pieces, then match the cake to the “flavor” of tea you've chosen! Lift the teapot’s lid to reveal a shiny mirror, play peek-a-boo and hear fun sounds.
  4. Sing-along songs teach manners and greetings; sharing with friends helps kids prepare for new social environments. Learned skills include colors, counting, social skills, and matching.
  5. The musical rainbow tea party introduces essential preschool skills from early vocabulary to counting while building social skills like sharing, taking turns and patience.
  6. I just received this yesterday, and it's for my 11-month-old daughter. Her age is younger than the recommended age of 12 to 36 months, so I will further update this review once she's gotten a bit older and has more understanding of the toy.

But so far, we both LOVE it! She was immediately entranced when she saw it come on via the test button while still in its package. Once opened, I demonstrated how to pour the "tea" into the cups and "drink" it. Her face just lit up and she got the biggest smile! She was surprised to find a mirror under the lid; my husband seemed equally, if not more, surprised. Lol. She dances ( sits on the floor and bounces; she's not walking yet ) when the tea kettle makes music. She especially loves "eating" the slices of cake. She also enjoys sharing her tea and cake with my husband and I. :)

Things I really like, as a parent:
I love the fact that, along with how much satisfaction and play time she gets out of it, there are educational aspects to the toy. These include numbers and counting, and naming colors. Each cake comes with a little fruit on it so little ones are also learning the different fruits. Sharing is also encouraged. As someone who can be irritated by a lot of loud toys, I especially like the toy's volume control. Another reviewer downrated the toy, saying it is too loud at the lowest volume. I respectfully disagree. I would say that at its lowest volume, it's plenty low for most ears (my own are pretty sensitive). Hubby also appreciates the volume control, as he is the main caretaker while I'm recuperating from major surgery. As an aside, neither of us found this toy's music and quips annoying at all, unlike so many "talking" toys. And finally, I love that it's a LeapFrog. Her much-older brother received a LeapFrog toy when he was younger, and I was very impressed with the brand.

So far, these are my observations; I will have more to add when she is a little older and starts to learn some of the more educational aspects of the toy, such as naming colors and counting. In general though, if you have a little one under 12 months and are interested in this toy, I'd say go for it. My little one loves it!

Great for toddlers (even very young ones)!

This product is damaged by holes that are punched in the cups half way down so that a tie tab can attach it to the box. All the pics on the box and online do not show any holes. If a child likes to scoop water or make it closer to real play by putting water or another liquid in cup, the liquid would leak out all over the place. Product is cute and I would give it a higher rating but I don't feel that it's ok for a product to be damaged for packing purposes. I also feel that it is dishonest to show pics w/ no holes in cups on box and online when there are clearly holes punched in both cups.

Cute little tea pot. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my two year old daughter. She has been playing with it since unwrapping it. That to me alone makes the purchase worth it. Great size for little hands. Love the learning concepts it offers. I am a fan of LeapFrog and have noticed that the few items from the brand we do have are among my daughters favorites. I would definitely recommend. Fun for boys and girls!

    Great product! Daughter loves it!

This set is really cute and my daughter absolutely loves it. My only complaint is that there are holes in the back of the cups so it can’t actually hold water when that is a natural thing for a kid to want to put in an empty tea cup.

  6. My son has had Scout for about 2 years and he loves it. So when a friend's daughter needed a birthday present, we decided on Violet. When Violet arrived, I attempted to customize, and I noticed some significant differences with the newer model.

    1) NO CHEST HEARTS. They have removed the button on the chest, which contained most of the "feelings." That's the button that is pressed when you hug Scout/Violet, and now when you hug it, nothing happens.

    2) NO CUSTOMIZABLE SONGS. With Scout, we had the option to choose from several different songs, including Christmas songs. The new version doesn't give you that option. You're stuck with whatever songs come by default.

    3) NO USB CORD. This is actually a good thing, since you don't have to look for a USB cord to customize. Instead, you plug the attached cord into your phone or computer's headphone jack. This is probable the only improvement in the new version.

    4) LARGER BATTERY PACK. The new version's battery pack is larger than the old version's, and it's harder to stuff into the toy's back. And when it's in, it's easier to feel, making Violet less enjoyable to squeeze. After 2 years, Scout's back velcro is wearing out a bit, and I imagine that the new version will be even less durable since there's more pressure on it. The velcro opening is actually larger in the new version, but it just opens higher up on Violet's neck, though the battery pack is too large to fit in that space.

Still, it's a fun toy, but I'm disappointed that Leapfrog would change the product for the worse.

Warning! This is a downgraded version from older Scout/Violet models! Warning! This is a downgraded version from older Scout/Violet models!

This doesn't have embroidered paws like the product description claimed. These aren't as nice as they used to be. I have one for my older daughter and she didn't want to pass it on to her baby sister, so I bought one. This second one doesn't have the button in the tummy and none of the paws are embroidered. They are all vinyl decals.

I do like the way I can make changes with my phone, though. Much more convenient than attaching to the computer like with the old one.

    Not REALLY as described

I can't recommend this dog enough. I got it for my son for Christmas and it is his favorite toy. His face just lights up when it starts singing, especially because it knows his name! The light on Scout is also entertaining to him. I have never seen him smile so much playing with any other toy. Scout is easy to set up and I haven't had any issues with the toy at all. My son is now 10 months old. I don't see him getting tired of Scout anytime soon :)

Update: he's almost 3 and still has scout! Scout still works with no issues.

    Has it 2 years later...

Perfect gift for 1 year old (and up). This really is a great toy and for the price you can’t beat it. My Pal Scout allows you to enter your child’s name and it will say/sing it during various songs. Our little guy lights up when he hears Scout say his name. Another great feature is that you can choose the age of your child so the activities and songs are developmentally appropriate. The buttons (paws) are easy to press, my 16 month old has no problem using them on his own. It was super easy to set it up and we were playing with it within a few minutes of opening the box. I will buy this for everyone 1 year old birthday party we attend!

    One of our favorite toys!

My friends all started their babies off early with their Violet we decided to do so as well. Our daughter is 5 months and already loves hers!

    My little girl loves it!

Little Violet has become a friend who will help 6-month-old baby Remie recognize her name and other beginning sounds of oral communication. Violet and Remie are adorable together.

My Pal Violet helps with beginning sounds of oral communication

This toy is great but the box was shredded when it arrived. Normally wouldn't care but it is a gift and hate to give it like this.

Just adding in that this is NOT the item in the picture and just comes from a retail store. Don't waste your precious time. :( Already contacted seller to make sure they are aware of this fact. Because this has happened to multiple other people, I will be personally making sure that this is changed or fixed within the next few days.

LeapFrog as the most educational and Fun toys for kids.

    awesome toy!!
