Didn’t come with backpack as the box stated!
This figure is about the fifth iteration of Iron Man in Hasbro's Titan Hero line so I'm assuming that they must be making a nice profit off of them as a new one seems to be released every year. With a new Avenger movie on the horizon, Hasbro had the perfect reasoning to mass produce another version of the Iron Knight. This figure is a bit of a disappointment to me. While it's nicely sculpted, the golden paint on the helmet was a bit smeared as if it was still wet when packaged in the box as I noticed some paint on the plastic window where the head was. Perhaps, the biggest sin is how skinny the figure looks, as if only a skeleton resides within the armor. It definitley looks the smallest out all the other 12 inch Iron Man figures that have been released so far. The biggest plus is the 11 points of articulation in the shoulders, wrists and legs that gives the figure more pose-ability and the slot on its back where you can plug in a voice pack (sold separately) that allows you to hear Iron Man-specific phrases. Though, overall, a decent figure, I just wished it had more bulk as the legs look unnaturally thin and long.
Very nice! I just add some damages like on real one. Battle mode helmet ;)
It's very well made. Looks cool. Easy to put on. Has magnets so you can wear it with the mask on top of the helmet. Light up eyes are awesome but you won't be able to see to walk if it's too dark outside but I'm cool with that. And my friends are jealous!
I like Iron Man a lot so when I saw this I had to buy it right away! Actually, I bought two! Nice 1:1 Iron Man helmet...I only wish hasbro also sell the complete body armor of Iron man. I will wait for that hasbro..yeah!
Not at all happy with what I received. The helmet looks cool, but had obvious damage from before (doesn’t appear to be packaging damage) and the battery compartment couldn’t be opened. You could see where someone (probably previous customer) tried to pry it open but had no luck either. The pics will show how the back doesn’t line up and there are minor scrapes from whoever tried before. And the battery compartment pics show the damage there too. Not at all happy with the state of the item. I will purchase again, but not from them.
I absolutely love the helmet. I just got it today, was so excited to turn it on and try it on. But not too fond on spending the $311.47 to have the helmet received damaged.. I feel like I should be compensated for such things. But we’ll see what happens.. purchased from CaveGamers. As well as all my other props.
My son love it????????
This thing is amazing the detail and quality is just something you need to see up close. Considering I have a big head I was relieved that it fit me. On the inside there is a size adjuster band allows you to find your size which is pretty cool once you get the hang of it. The sound effects are pretty cool making you feel like Iron man and the magnetic face plate is good just don't walk around with it open as i have found out the magnets are not that strong and the face plate will fall off. My only problem seems to be one most people have which is you can't see in thing with the lights at least a 100% brightness good thing there is a brightness button to adjust to your liking. The other issue which isn't a big deal but still good to know is the back of the helmet opens to allow easier access but it's also a bit flimsy. I find myself playing with it after I've put the helmet on. But on the flip side no one is going to be paying attention to back the of helmet. Overall this an awesome item that's makes you feel like you could fly with Tony if you had the rest of the suit. It's worth any comic book fans collection or if you just the Iron man movies.
I got this via Amazon Warehouse Deals. It was only $65 compared to the retail price of $99. It was marked down due to some minor cosmetic imperfections. I plan on weathering the helmet a little so that was no issue for me.
The item was shipped in the actual product box, no outer box. Everything looked good inside. The only minor imperfections I found were a little bit of scuff marks on the top of the helmet and these will most likely buff out with a microfiber towel and some rubbing compound.
The helmet itself is nice quality and does a great job representing the Mark VII helmet as seen in The Avengers. The colors look good and there is a decent weight to the helmet.
One of the features of the helmet is the removable faceplace and corresponding lights and sounds. The lights look pretty good. It is hard to see out of at full brightness, especially in dark areas. Visibility in general is very low due to the small eye holes. If you wanted this for a costume, it would be tricky to wear. It's also a little hard to breath in due to no air getting in.
As a display piece, this is perfect. It is an accurate replica of Iron Man's helmet and looks great displayed on a shelf.
I would definitely recommend getting it via Amazon Warehouse Deals if you want to save some money and don't mind a few scuffs (that should be able to be corrected).
-Accurate helmet details
-light up eyes
-big enough for many head sizes
-price (for me at $65)
-rear panel of helmet doesn't stay in place that easily
-hard to see/breath in (better for display and a costume piece)
-can get marked or scuffed
It’s great except the colors want to wipe off when dusting it
Overall if I had paid full price ($99.99) I would have instantly returned this helmet. I've I had even paid the price at the time of me writing this review ($69.90) I'd still strongly consider returning it. While the helmet makes a nice display piece it has two major flaws that make it too annoying to really fool around with. I've only had the helmet for 3 hours and all I have done with it is adjust it to my head so I can wear it and test the "lights and sounds". However, in those three hours I had found that the paint is frail and flakes off easily. Especially on the top of the helmet as can be seen in the picture I've provided. What is worse is that this location is a magnet that the faceplate attaches to so there is no way to prevent this from happening if you put the faceplate on the helmet in the "open" position. The sounds have the quality of a 90s era tape recorder being played back which gets old fast. The absolute worst part of the helmet though is the back plate. It is designed to unhinge for larger heads however the magnets inside it are weak which is odd as the faceplate magnets are so strong they remove paint and I struggle to take he faceplate off without both hands. But worse is that the "clips" are healed in by nothing but weak tension and pop out at the turn of your head making this piece not very wearable as the back half of the helmet likes to open up on you. It feels like the magnets don't do anything at all. Honestly I feel while the details are there and the lights are nice it fits in with the cheaper $50 and less Iron Man children helmets, it just looks nicer. Then again the paint doesn't chip off on them.
My son has Cap and Iron Man but Thanos comes with me to work. He glares at me and reminds me that he can end half of civilization, so get back to work.
Product showed up destroyed looks worse than a child packaged this. Pieces missing. Garbage.
With the Avengers: Infinity War movie just a few weeks away, the Mad Titan has managed to grace us with his almighty presence on store and internet shelves. This is one impressive figure and probably my favorite out of all the new Infinity War based Titan hero Series line that were recently released. It is excellently sculpted from the wrinkles in his pants to the intimidating scowl on his face. As a bonus, he is sporting the Infinity Gauntlet, though, unfortunately, you can't take it off or pose it as it rests rigidly on his arm. I wished the Infinity Stones were physically placed on the Gauntlet rather than painted, however, it still looks very nice. My one big complaint is that despite the figure's bulk, it's the same height as any of the other figures in the Titan Series line. It's a bit annoying considering that Thanos towers over most heroes in the comics and the movies. A new feature is a slot on the back of the figure where you can attach a voice pack, found with the Titan Hero Power FX figures, that allows you to hear Thanos specific phrases. It's a bit of a gimmick considering that he only says three lines, not to mention how ridiculous it looks to see the Dark Lord wearing what appears to be a backpack, however, the option is there, which is still better than nothing. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
I bought this figure at a local department store not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with it's overall sculpt. Figure is very detailed (face, infinity gauntlet look great) but articulation points are very limited. Overall it is a solid and well made figure. I custom-painted mine and it came out better than expected!
Bought for my little boys 8th bday. It arrived right on time, and has batteries already in it. The gauntlet is hard plastic except the top of the fist, its rubbery. Makes one noise when you push the mind stone. Very nice toy!
People complaining over a $25 toy for kids. Don’t listen to that. My 5 and 6 year old boys loved it. Now the fingers dont move which we knew that from the get go. Only the mind stone lights up and makes one type of noise. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it’s a big glove even for a adults. Would I buy it again? Possibly if I didn’t know that there are some that you can move the fingers on but they’re twice as much.
I didn’t dislike anything, it’s pretty good
The perfect gift for the kids
I love this gauntlet! Is it nicer than the Marvel Legends version? Absolutely not! However, with a little creativity you can customize it to look expensive. It was a fun project too. My only gripe is that only one stone lights up.
Unboxing the gauntlet felt like getting another gift from my childhood similar to when I opened the SNES Mini!!! Everything from the detail, weight, lights and sounds made purchasing the Infinity Gauntlet well worth the $100 price tag. However wearing the gauntlet and moving all the fingers especially the pinky and thumb proved to be difficult and painful.
So I decided to customize it which I did by taking out the 10 or so screws that were holding the gauntlet together and removed the top half of the grip bar. I then wrapped the bottom half with cloth and tape. The adjusted grip bar was now slimmer and provided me the additional room needed to both hold the bar and work all the finger levers. Now both our daughter and I can wield the most powerful weapon in the Marvel Universe without pain!!! If the stones were magnetic so they could be removed and if it had the option to mute the booming sound effects yet still work the fingers that would have made this perfect!
But it is still a RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME item to have and I will be wearing it to the Infinity War premier...WAKANDA FOREVER!!!
I had been expecting this to be one of the 2018 Marvel Legends releases and though it came earlier than expected it did not surprise me in the least when the listing appeared on Amazon. This thing is huge and highly detailed. It has lights and sounds which I'm assuming are accurate. I love it, this will probably be my final Marvel piece. The only downsides come with this being what it is... A big plastic fist: the joints and screw holes take away from this feeling like a legit prop replica. They hid them very well with Iron Man's helmet and Cap's shield, but those are very different items and it's much easier to disguise them in those scenarios. I'm also not in love with the look of the Infinity Stones, but this is still the best gauntlet in this price range. Being able to tap the mind gem for short term lights and sounds or long press it for a much longer display time is great, as is being able to lock the fingers by using the switch. Battery placement is fine (different parts of the listing say that it takes AA or AAA batteries, it's AA). If you're looking for an Infinity Gauntlet this is the one to get, but don't pay more than retail.
[[VIDEOID:fb0ac800ff3e0dd821f67512c09ffbd9]] I can't believe I just paid $80 for this piece of rubber. First of all the product is not the same as advertised. Completely different box, much smaller and the quality is not even comparable. Further more I just found the EXACT same one on Amazon for $10-$20!!! Are you kidding me!? Did they think I wouldn't notice! Such a cheap knockoff !! I feel like I just got scammed.
Misrepresentation of product purchased. The large black box with a mechanical moving arm is what was displayed for purchase, however I received the picture of a rubber thanos glove also found at $13-$15. Very disappointing. Found similar review of same occurrence with same vendor. Buyer beware
I bought two of these. One for myself and one as a prize during a screening of the movie. I absolutely love the Infinity Gauntlet. I do wish the speaker was a higher quality and the sound was crisper but that's secondary to this piece's awesomeness. The articulation works well and the finger rings inside are in a pretty good spot. It is a really fun toy and I can spend the whole day wearing it and messing with people. I highly recommend this item. I really want another for myself but the prices have skyrocketed to 200%-300%. I don't foresee the prices coming down anytime soon, not after that great movie and the next one to come.
This glove is AWESOME! I can’t get it off my son’s arm. He loves it so much. This is a quality replica. Great detailing throughout. The stones are perfect and the sounds are awesome. Locking mechanism works great. It’s a little pricey at $100, but this is how toys should be. Made everyone smile.
So, I'm a big Marvel fan, especially of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. If you are too, then trust me.....YOU NEED TO OWN THIS AMAZING, TOTALLY AWESOME piece of MCU history!!!!!! I knew this was a massive item just by viewing pics and videos of it online, including Amazon. But to actually have it on is breathtaking, and it's really not too big to be uncomfortable. The detail is incredible, the lights in the Infinity Stones and the sounds from the Infinity War movie are perfect! And operating the fingers and setting it into display mode is very easy! Delivery was quick and the gauntlet was packaged very well and safely. You will find yourself struggling to put it down! I'm beyond pleased with this item; it's truly one of the greatest things I've ever purchased! I feel as if I could conquer the entire universe...I just might....thumbs UP Amazon!!!
Beautiful! Huge! Sounds amazing! The only problem is with mine the pinky and index finger stick after making a fist and make a popping noise when trying to open the hand again. I absolutely love it but wish that didn't happen.
Absolutely astonishing and fun its 100% detailed and fun 5o play with. Although the thumb is hard to work if you have small hands thats really the only downside but not really much
The gauntlet is gigantic, which is cool because it adds dramatic effect. The only complaints is that it really doesn’t do much and is mostly for show, and the thumb was hard to get a grasp on with everyone who tried it.
My son is being Thor for Halloween and he needed his hammer to complete the look. This was the best hammer for the money that I could find. It’s made by hasbro and has foam sides and a coil that bangs around when you hit it. It would be cooler if it lit up also, but at least you don’t have to worry about any electronics breaking while playing with it. When I ordered it, the hammer was out of stock and I was waiting to get it. Luckily I came back here and checked the reviews and saw someone found them at 5 below. We live right by one and I was able to find it! Can’t beat 5 bucks! My son is soo happy with it, I might have to go back and get another for my other son lol!
The handle is durable and so is the strap. The hammer is heavy and seems strong enough to deliver a slam to the ground but I don't feel the need to test its true strength. The base for the hammer took me a while to figure out the position of the hammer but it fits well once positioned correctly. One little nudge, however, and the hammer will slide off. It is worth the buy in my opinion. And as seen in the photo... kinda fun for social media pranks.
[[VIDEOID:f949e3b299a2e552dc20a8b8e94c94bc]] I honestly love this hammer but has a few flaws. Feels as if it was made in a rush and had a few scuffs and the box came damaged as if it was thrown around in the box. Biggest disappointment is the battery cover, its as if the thread where the screw goes in is now IN the hammer itself when i first installed the batterys taking the cover off so now it makes an annoying shaking noise inside. 40 bucks worth tops. Otherwise its a good size and quality toy.
Bought this for Stan Lee to sign. When he cancelled because he was ill at the local con, I had my wife cricut the side instead.
Worthy of a good review. This is a 1:1 replica of the mighty mjolnir. Yes it is plastic and yes it is not real leather otherwise it would cost thousands. This thing is awesome to have on display. Honestly it’s hard to walk past it without wanting to pick it up turn it on and raise it to the sky. It is HUGE! regardless of quality you sure do feel mighty while holding it. There is a lot of negative feedback on this but do not let that discourage you. As a Marvel fanatic, I can honestly say I couldn’t be prouder to have Mjolnir on display. Next to the Gauntlet it looks like Odin’s vault.
I’m extremely happy with this item. At a very affordable price, you can’t go wrong if your a fan of Thor and like to collect items of him. I see a lot of bad reviews on here because of the quality. Don’t listen to those people, as this item, for the $88 price tag is a very nice item. I researched a lot of other hammers that are independently made that cost three times this. And to be honest, you don’t know what you’re getting when you order one of those items. Go with this officially licensed product and you’ll be happy. Yes this is a “toy” and it does have things about it that make it imperfect such as the battery door. I can promise you though, if you aren’t expecting a 30 pound hammer made out of metal, then you will love this. Oh and it turns out, I am worthy.
This was a gift for myself. The item was delivered earlier than expected and was a surprise today. I am very pleased with the quality and detail that went into this. I have this in my Geek room right now as a centerpiece on the table. Let’s see who will be worthy to pick up the Hammer ! Very pleased with this purchase.
There are too many imperfections, that's first and foremost! Where the writing is on the sides of the hammer, the work is sub-par and you can see in the pictures what I mean. I am not going to draw this out with a long review, so I am going to simply say, take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself if this is worth your money. For the price, I would not recommend this to a friend. I am seriously considering sending it back because I just expected more quality out of a one hundred dollar toy.
Overall, the product looks cool. However, it’s pretty upsetting to know that this was probably returned before and put back out to sale. When it arrived there was a piece of brown tape with unreadable writing on it, which seemed odd to start with. When testing out the hammer I noticed it was missing the button to activate the symbol on the side. I’m not a picky person, so small scratches or some spaces between pieces don’t bother me, but this item had obvious damage and I’m upset that it was ever put back out to sale. It’s doesn’t make sense to put an item back out when they were aware of it being damaged. Unacceptable. Won’t be buying from them again.
Very bad. Lots of scratches
I'm an avid Hot toy collector and the tiny Mjolnir that comes with that Thor figure is far better quality than this life size version by Marvel Legends. It's Very cheap and came scratched, the handle wasn't even straight. This would be suitable for Halloween when you use it once and then toss it in the closet for another year. The lights and sounds are cute, but the stand that comes with it is too small to proudly display, and once someone picks it up they'll assume you paid no more than 20 bucks for this cheesy prop. C'mon Marvel legends, you can do a lot better than this. It's very easy to damage too. The faux handle leather strap is very loose and eventually will fail, no way you can swing it. Wait for it to hit clearance. 99 bucks down the drain..
My 5 year old son loves his shield so much that he wants to sleep with it (and his Captain America costume) every night. He loves how it “magically” sticks to his wrist because of the magnetic feature.
He has thrown it all over the place and so far nothing has broken or chipped.
Perfect for my 3 year old and it arrived just in time for Halloween. It might be a bit small for older kids.
Great quality and product. My son loves it. It has a magnet the holds the shield onto wristband. Great design.
My son absolutely loves this toy! The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that it was a bit smaller then I origally believed it would be, which I’m sure was just my own failure to pay attention to the dimensions. Thankfully my son is a toddler so it will work for now.
Arrived with the paint scratched up on the shield.
They looks great but I believe Amazon ruined them during the packaging process. They put it together one in front of the other shield and all the paint scratched... They seem used not new... I can't give it to my nieces now. Terrible experience!!!
Not totally satisfied with the presentation/quality . Seems to have some scratches on it and it hasn't even been used yet.
My kiddo is having a blast with this Iron Man AR goggle game. We downloaded the app on my iPhone 8 Plus and placed the phone into the glasses slot. Son’s mind blown. It’s hot today so the mask feels pretty heavy and stuffy after a bit, but he’s having a lot of fun in the virtual world and game. He’s a huge Marvel fan, so this is really an excellent experience for him.
So my main complaint is that I don’t have my phone while he’s playing. And I have to take the case off to fit it in the glasses.
But I tried it out and it’s cool. My son also likes to use just the glasses to watch VR games I downloaded like a roller coaster and discovery VR to watch sharks. My hubs looked at street views of Rome off google. So we are all getting use out of the glasses.
Overall, this is a great gift and the price point is good IMO for what you get. I’ve never had anything like this and the technology is rocking my world.
Bought yesterday. Loading app got struck in the 100% screen.
Update: Problem was fixed suddenly yesterday night.
As guy with love for all things Marvel, I've been wanting a Captain America shield for the longest time; however affordability was always an issue. Some shields go up to $800.00, and as much as I love the captain, that ain't happening. So when I saw this baby for pre-order at, I jumped at the chance. I didn't know what to expect from a $100.00 shield, I mean clearly this can't be up to par with the higher end ones out there, right? Well, maybe not... but this thing is absolutely great, especially for the price. Here's my breakdown:
Packaging: Upon arriving at the doorstep I'm surprised this thing didn't get stolen. The box that it came it was labeled "Captain America Shield", really big on the side along with other Hasbro writing. This isn't a big issue, but I live in a bad neighborhood and it's might have gotten stolen by prying eyes (how it didn't I don't know, perhaps they knew not to mess with a man that now has a full sized Captain America Shield and a 2006 Honda Civic). Just giving you a heads up if you're not going to be home for delivery. The actual inside box is pretty nice, but mine got messed up during delivery and the top was smashed, but that's not a Hasbro issue, that's a UPS issue. :/
Overall the shield was packed really well, no fancy bells or whistles, just Styrofoam and twist-ties.
The product: This thing is a beast. At this price point I thought that it would be flimsy and plastic, man was I wrong. It's layered plastic (or something to that effect) that looks like it gets snapped in one on top of another, but that gives it a weight that lends to the overall feel of it. You'd expect the real shield to have a bit of heft to it and that's what this feels like. If you look closely you can see the little snap slats (?) on the rings in-between the color rings, but it's only there if you're looking, other than that they're not noticeable. The color and finish are pretty well done, I'm sure the higher end ones have a more metal finish, but it's pretty great and vibrant in it's palette. The only issue's with that is that there are tiny scratch abrasions on the paint job, might have been from the construction or the packaging. Either way, they are hardly noticeable. Also, the center blue ring is not as blue as the picture, in fact it's a bit darker than I would have liked.
On the underside of this thing, it's pretty standard with two adjustable straps (Not real leather or anything) and it's silver. This is actually my biggest and real only grip with the shield... the adjustable straps are, well, not really adjustable. I'm not a huge guy, about 180 pounds, and my arm goes through both of the straps without any real security. At the tightest adjustment (which is still extremely loose for me), the forearm strap fits very loosely and the hand strap is mega loose, I have to basically hold on to the strap with my hand and grip it. That really wound't be a problem if it wasn't so loose, because even with that there is too much give for me. I mean, there are going to be compromises, I just wish it wasn't with the straps. With that being said, I don't really plan on busting this thing out when I hear police sirens on the street; I'm going to hang it up on the wall until comic-con and get this baby signed, so it's not a huge deal breaker either (clearly I'm a lover, not a fighter).
So, a breakdown:
* Great quality & solid feel
* Good overall paint job
* I feel like Captain America... 's cousin... twice removed...
* Prone to scratches
* Blue color is off
* Adjustable straps are not the best.
* Box is a criminal attraction device, use you're shield and bust some heads! (Please don't really do that)
Overall, if you're looking for a low cost Captain America shield for cosplay, Con's or just to hang on the wall (Like I did!), then this is a great option and you will not be disappointed.
I was torn between ordering this, or ordering the Marvel Legends Captain America 75th Anniversary Metal Shield. I finally decided that since I just wanted to display it, $275+ was a bit much and went with the cheaper alternative. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
The shield looks great, but I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get a scratched one. I think it looks like metal. I had to get real close, or touch it, to tell otherwise. The faux-leather straps on the back look great and seem sturdy. That said, I don't think this will hold up for actual use as part of a costume (let alone kids play). The finish is very sensitive and would scratch easily. Cosplayers wanting a battle-worn look will get it quickly!
I'm also glad I got the cheaper shield as the [[ASIN:B01B4NLOW4 Marvel Legends Iron Man Electronic Helmet]] obviously looks plastic and I think next to an actual metal shield would have looked terrible.
Overall, this is a fantastic alternative to exorbitantly priced prop replicas. I hope Hasbro continues the Legends series with more mid-range collectibles, but the quality control does need some improvement.
Always wanted a Captain America shield, but at a decent price. Hasbro delivered and the shield looks great for only $100. I would've preferred the metal option instead, but this is something that will just hang on my wall and will never be touched again.
Perfect Captain America shield for a decent price that won't break the bank
Shield has a glossy finish to it - it appears to be metal but isn't
Construction is very well done and don't feel cheap
Very little scratches (if any) on the unit
Preorders of the shield seemed to have shipped with subpar packaging. The shield wasn't wrapped in plastic, etc.
Scratches all over the place and scuffs. Shield appeared to bounce around in packaging during shipping.
If you live in an Apartment complex or some sort of rental other people will know what you've purchased, due to how it's shipped.
I have posted pics of pre-order vs non pre-ordered shield. Non pre-order ships with better packaging.
[[VIDEOID:1607bef89dad7ac6afc3867827d4f108]] No it will not "Buff right out."
Like many others I was tempted by the low price point, fast availability and less weight of this shield. Unfortunately I should have heeded the other's warning about poor packing and quality control.
Mine arrived with the handle straps backwards, meaning when you hold the shield with the point up the strap buckles are on the bottom. Also had a cute 1/2" scratch right on the top of the shield across the blue and red circles. Pretty much anywhere else would not have been as noticeable but it is right near the point of the star and hence a focal spot of anyone looking at it. After attempting to buff it out using polishing compound I discovered that the manufacturer either uses poor quality paints or not enough coats to be able to buff anything out. If your shield has a scratch, the only way to fix it is repaint over it.
Also note there are about 30 rivets on the back with sharp edges that stick out about 1/4" so more than likely it WILL tear up any costume if you plan on wearing this on your back. Really wish I would have know that before ordering.
The overall construction seems a bit "iffy" as well. I was planning on using magnets to attach it to a harness on the back, but with shield construction seems to be like lego blocks and I fear it will come apart from use. Not sure why the manufacturer decided to skip on some cheap epoxy to make sure everything was tight and having the factory place a plastic bag over the shield to prevent possible scratches during shipping. How tough is that really?
For these reasons I am giving it only 2 stars. I was hoping the other reviews were just unnecessarily harsh and this shield has potential to be awesome with a few minor tweaks from the factory but for the money I paid should not have to repaint and reassemble the shield.
Words can't even describe how cool this product is. I bought this for my 10 year old son who is starting to get into collecting comic books and related collectibles. The star was missing very small details that would've made this and almost exact replica of the movie shield. Displayed properly most will probably think it is a replica. It is made of plastic, but the paint and finish makes it look like metal (or vibranium). Even with it's plastic build, this shield is very, very sturdy. I do not fully trust the leather like straps on the inside. They feel flimsy to me, but so far they have held up to my 10 year old's outdoors play test. My son reviewed this product in depth on his youtube page The GeekSon at: [...]
Received yesterday, returning today. Item has small scratches at multiple locations as well as dried evidence of the item being wiped with a wet rag/cloth. But main reason for returning is the distracting chipped finish on the silver star, the item’s centerpiece. Defect is only the size of a ladybug but it stands out like a, well, like a defective Captain America Shield. Grandsons will call me out on it for sure! Packaging could be the culprit as cardboard was allowed to freely rub against the finished surface of the shield. A soft protective layer of some sort could be beneficial. I like everything else about the product including its size, weight, and accurate colors.
Great product! Don't need the metal Shield. This looks great on the wall!
So the quality and size of the shield is excellent, however, the packaging from the manufacturer is HORRIBLE. They use a center support cross piece made out of cardboard and then wrap that with tape. The cross section was up against the shield silver star and scratch it badly from the rubbing during shipping.....they should have put a soft cloth like material to prevent this from happening. Not sure what'll I'll do, probably send it back
Update: After receiving 3 Shields in total and sending 2 back, the 3rd shield was delivered today without scuffs or scratches. The red paint is not perfect but I was more concerned with it being delivered damaged because of poor manufacturer packaging. Amazon Customer Service was excellent and personally got involved with shipping so I'm hoping their direct involvement helped get me one that was not scuffed or scratched. Now I can hang this in my theater room.
This Sheild is the real deal. Great asset to my Winter Soldier costume!!!
Not worth $100, but 4 stars because I paid $55. Decent buy if you remember it's a toy and you don't pay 100$ for it. If you are buying as a collectible, it will be a scratched collectible. Packaging was bad - Shield not wrapped in plastic, and no protective sticky plastic covering where the cardboard touches the center star. Cardboard support structure basically designed to scratch the center star. Straps not adjustable, the straps are all bolted so they're fixed, but pretty minor since those two straps are for your arms only, I'm a skinny guy my arms fit fine. Manufacturing is OK on the front (once you get past the scuffed center star), but you can see machining scratches probably from bolting on the straps.
The Shield itself, once you're OK with it being a toy, is pretty nice. It's big/life-size, it's shiny, it has some weight to it to help it feel good.
We’ll Build! My son loved it! It’s was big hit at his school with the super hero day!
On the plus side, these are dense, durable, big toys, the kind kids love.
On the negative side, they do not bend at the elbows or knees, minimizing the way kids can play with them. They are better for posing (in non-action poses) than playing, unfortunately.
Unforgivably, many are not painted properly, leaving the costumes wrong, especially on the back. Note how Spider-Man's blue shirt suddenly turns red on the back. This is just lazy, and they could fix it easily.
I ordered this as a new product. Clearly not new. The box was beat up and all taped. There was leftover styrafoam crumbles in the box from original packaging yet it wasn’t there. Some of the accessories seem to be missing. I would like a new one as I purchased.
Hasbro’s Marvel Titan Hero Series 12-figure set is an excellent choice to appease young superhero fans with a near-complete set of many key characters from the Marvel comics and movies.
Each 12” figure is individually wrapped in a compartment rather than a retail box (pictured). However, the box (pictured in the description) is full-color and makes for a good presentation with the names of all 12 characters and images. The individual figures typically retail for $9.99 each so there is a bit of a discount in the price point of the set.
The Titan Hero series represents a step-down to only five points-of-articulation (5POA) and detail, but also price, from both the 6” and 12” Legends versions, and the 12” Titan electronic versions. Some figures have weapons and some do not. Key items are there: Thor’s Mjolnir, Hawkeye’s bow and Captain America’s shield among a few others. However, Thor does not have a cape in this version.
I consider these true toys and my sons have enjoyed playing, tugging, pulling and play-battling with a Titan Hero series Spider-Man for about two years. They don’t about the 5POA and we don’t worry much about the abuse they are given. They have some collector-grade figures but there are toys and meant to be enjoyed accordingly. Although the figures have no movement in the knees and elbows, they will stand if you want to store on a shelf.
These Titan figures series seem to be the new thing with heroic action figures. This offering of the Avengers offer a good looking set from our favorite Marvel heroes. Black widow, Gamora, Star Lord, Groot, Thor, Black Panther, Ant Man, Spiderman, Iron Man, and Capt America. Their looks are very similar to the comic book series with a few familiar borrowings from the movie creations.
Several of the action figures come with added accessories like the shield for Capt. America, Mjolnir for Thor, blasters for Star Lord, Gamora with her weapon, wings for Falcon, and Hawkeye with his bow. Some of the accessories are a struggle to get them to fit in their hands. The shield easily fits with Capt. America, but with most of the others it's a struggle. While mostly rigid, each figure has at least arms and legs that move and a bit of twist on their heads. Some have wrists that twist, others have legs that can split.
This is a fun set to have on the shelf to show off your favorite Marvel super heroes. They are rugged for playing. I recently had a 7 year old put the toys in their paces and they survived with some battle scuff marks. (Sadly, now some of the extra accessories are now missing.) But now they go back to the shelf for viewing.
My favorite of them all is Gamora. She simply looks stunning. Next comes Ant Man and Spiderman. They look great and I love the details of their suits! Iron Man looks weird and stiff to me, but my kid likes him. (Shrug.) The rest all look good. Hawkeye looks so darn good. One day I would love to add a few touch ups to add more life like details to them all. They look good, but I think they can look so much better with a few little added detailing work.
Each action figure is approximately 11.5 to 12 inches tall. They look good and play well for all ages. Good fun for fans and family.
I cannot wait until my son opens his Christmas gift. All characters were in excellent quality and I love the accessories that come with most of the characters.
These are great, exactly like the individual ones you can buy. Only negative part was I got two Gamoras, and no Black Widow. My three year old nephew didn’t mind though.
Was great at first but turned to ash not too long after arrival.
Worked out great as a cake topper! Bday boy was so excited to get “iron Spider-Man” Size was as expected.
This toy came opened and taped up. Looks like a returned item.
